Even Harry Kane can't lift this game out of the doldrums, as his mazy run on the left ends with him tripping over his own feet. It's catching Harry...

    Jamie Hoyland
Former Burnley midfielder at Turf Moor for BBC Radio Lancashire

"With Kyle Walker going off it puts more pressure on Danny Rose to be the one who breaks forward as Tottenham do not play with natural width. That could give Burnley a chance to get into the space left behind him."

Still no bookings in the game but George Boyd could easily have had one for a lunge on Nabil Bentaleb. Give us something to write about eh?

Danny Rose leads a Spurs break which ends when Harry Kane is offside, before the home fans shout for a penalty but the ball hits Ryan Mason's groin, not his arm.

    Where's the breakthrough coming from?

Well that was all a bit odd. Kyle Walker came out for 40 seconds and then went off, Ben Davies is on and goes to centre-back, with Vlad Chiriches moving to right-back. Davies played in a back three for Wales in Israel and looked very good.

  6. Postpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 5 April 2015

What on earth is Kyle Walker doing still playing? He's clearly injured and is now sitting down after 30 seconds. That's what half-time is for!

    Game on.

  8. Postpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 5 April 2015

Here we go then, the players are back out. Kyle Walker limping back out of the tunnel. He won't be staying on for long.

The Tyne-Wear derby is coming up fast this afternoon, we should have team news within half an hour. As Aidan points out, Sunderland could be back in the drop zone by the end of the night.

Aidan Williams: Come on Burnley. A point will be enough here, especially if Sunderland get beat by two goals or more later

  11. Postpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 5 April 2015

    Jamie Hoyland
Former Burnley midfielder at Turf Moor for BBC Radio Lancashire

"Burnley have been organised and disciplined. At the other end, they have been positive in the final third. They have had the better players of the two teams. Tottenham have individual players who can make things happen but they have been snuffed out. But Burnley need to take their chances as Spurs can play a lot better."

"Goalless at the break. Danny Ings has gone closest to breaking the deadlock, particularly from an excellent chance after five minutes, and the home team will be the happier at the moment."

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 5 April 2015

The most 0-0 game you can imagine. Danny Ings had a great chance in the opening five minutes and then nothing.

  14. CLOSE!published at 14:15 British Summer Time 5 April 2015

There we go, better already as Danny Ings chances his arm from 25 yards and cultures a lovely strike on goal, dipping with menace and forcing Michel Vorm into a stretching one-handed save. Burnley's best effort of the half.

  15. Postpublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 5 April 2015

Don't worry, it's almost half time. The good news is that this game can only get better.

    Jamie Hoyland
Former Burnley midfielder at Turf Moor for BBC Radio Lancashire

"It was fantastic play. Kieran Trippier's ball was superb again and the nod-down to George Boyd looked to have set him up for another finish like against Manchester City. But Boyd just snatched at it and pulled it past the post."

Jonathan Chase: This isn't a bad Spurs team, but a small pitch and good Burnley pressure mean Spurs don't have the time and space they want.

Matthew Bennett: Soooo much moaning, it's half an hour played and it's 0-0. Burnley are a good solid team, give it a minute Spurs fans!!

  18. CLOSE!published at 14:10 British Summer Time 5 April 2015

Spurs corner. And finally some quality, Christian Eriksen hitting a dipping shot from 20 yards which Tom Heaton juggles at the base of the post and gathers at the second attempt. Get the Dane on the ball, that should be Spurs' advice at the break.

Maybe the game is going to open up as at the other end George Boyd scuffs a shot wide.

  19. Postpublished at 14:06 British Summer Time 5 April 2015

Harry Kane has been peripheral today but picks the ball up in a dangerous area and spins away, looks up and shoots wide on the run. That's his best moment so far - but it was still poor.

Stuart Benns: As a Spurs fan I'm used to mediocrity, but this is just awful.

Paul Hickling AFC: Harry Kane captain of Spurs? Pochettino you're having a laugh. No Leaders in this weak Spurs side.

Paul Murphy: I always worry when Chiriches plays. Such a liability. Nobody playing with any real passion and Kane is isolated.
