For Aston Villa, it is perhaps not the ideal time to face QPR.
After five successive defeats, the Hoops claimed an emphatic 4-1 win at West Brom on Saturday to boost their survival hopes.
"A win would be a fantastic boost for us because it would see us above the line," says boss Chris Ramsey. "It would give the fans a lot of hope that we have a chance of staying up and obviously it will give us a lot of hope for the game against Chelsea on Sunday. We're just looking to get a positive result."
Somewhere in England, possibly a sleepy village on the outskirts of London, it might not be that uncommon to be sat in a pub and see Tim Sherwood, Chris Ramsey and Les Ferdinand all pop in for a pint.
"We live near each other," says Sherwood. "Me, him and Les live probably 10 minutes from each other so sometimes there is a pint to be had."
The trio worked together at Tottenham and have stayed friends ever since, although Sherwood has been giving Ramsey the silent treatment in the build up to this game, cancelling the QPR boss' calls.
"I keep red buttoning him," adds Sherwood. "It's hard, what do you talk about? You can't share team notes. Only 'how's the family, are you alright? Ok, see you Tuesday."
Shane Daly:, external Villa are a club to big to go down, but if you don't perform good enough & assume you won't go down, well you may get bitten.
Ian Talbot:, external 1 point not enough tonight considering next two fixtures are away vs Spurs & Man City. Massive, MASSIVE game for AVFC.
So who do you sitting in the bottom three come the end of the season? Will it be the three promoted teams from last season - Leicester, QPR and Burnley - or will someone else get dragged in? Where has it gone wrong for the struggling teams this season?

The honeymoon period is very much over for Tim Sherwood.
After winning three of his first five games in charge, he has overseen two successive defeats to leave Aston Villa teetering just above the relegation zone. If there is any manager who will label a game six pointer it is Sherwood, and that is arguably what this fixture is.
"I think this is the biggest game that a lot of these players have ever played for this football club," he says. "This is without doubt the biggest game of the season for Aston Villa and possibly one of the biggest in a number of years and this is the biggest of my managerial career."
"The biggest game in years."
Not my words, the words of Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood, who sees his side's clash with fellow strugglers QPR tonight as one of the club's most important fixture in their Premier League history.
Villa are just outside the relegation zone in 17th, QPR are two places and three points worse off. A win for Villa, and their fans can breathe a little easier. A win for QPR, and they could move out of the bottom three, putting Villa in it. Tense.
The Premier League title looks to be wrapped up...
...and the top four is taking shape...
...so there's nothing left in the Premier League to get excited about, right?
Wrong.
With just four points separating five of the bottom six, the battle to stay in the top flight is just getting exciting. For the two chaps above, it could be about to get a whole lot more interesting....
