Everton do have the breakthrough! Nice work down the left sees James McCarthy get clear to put in a cross. It goes right through to Aaron Lennon, who takes a touch and then prods home from close-range. Neatly finished from a man not known for his goalscoring prowess...

    Former Wales striker John Hartson
BBC Radio 5 live at the Liberty Stadium

"There's been a bit more pressure from Everton as we approach half-time but every set piece they've had in dangerous positions has been dealt with comfortably by the Swansea defence."

Back under way at Derby where Steve McClaren's side are in danger of messing up eight months of hard work.

If passing in the middle third won you points, these two sides would be top of the league. Maybe Roberto Martinez and Garry Monk's styles of play are too similar. It's all a bit cancelled out.

Swansea fans will know better than me but they seem to have coped well with the loss of Michel Vorm this season. Has he been missed? Lukasz Fabianski has been solid in his place - and was the name in a rogue transfer story last week when he was linked with a move to Roma.

  7. Postpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 11 April 2015

    Former Wales striker John Hartson
BBC Radio 5 live at the Liberty Stadium

"Brilliant goalkeeping from Lukasz Fabianksi. He hasn't had anything to do in the first half hour of this game but was alert there and got a strong glove to it. That's the sign of a good goalkeeper - to remain alert. But what a great effort from Seamus Coleman."

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:18 British Summer Time 11 April 2015

The game is brightening up now, Seamus Coleman fires in a long-range strike right across the turf and Lukasz Fabianski has to go full-length to turn it away with one hand. Belting save.

    Former Wales striker John Hartson
BBC Radio 5 live at the Liberty Stadium

"Jonjo Shelvey didn't know the flag was up! What an unbelievable strike. We've seen him score some amazing goals, such technical ability to hit the ball from 25 yards out on the volley. Tim Howard couldn't get anywhere near it."

  10. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 11 April 2015

The greatest disallowed goal of all time?! Jonjo Shelvey flicks the ball up, 25 yards out, and arcs a stunning dipping strike over Tim Howard's head and into the net. It is a genuinely brilliant hit.

But the whistle goes before he can celebrate, Wayne Routledge fouling Leighton Baines in the build-up. Unlucky, as that's just what this game needed. A Shelvey moment of magic.

    Former Wales striker John Hartson

"This game is lacking a bit of spark. I wouldn't go as far to say it's being played like a testimonial but the players do seem to be lacking a bit of sharpness."

Peasant: Managerial advice for Gary Monk - send Bafetimbi Gomis and Marvin Emnes to the barbers. Your attacking line-up will gain about 10mph.

Fitba Thatba: Gomes replaced by himself from 10 years ago. They cannot touch or the universe will implode.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 11 April 2015

One of the Premier League's forgotten men, winger Steven Pienaar, is on for Everton in place of Leon Osman. The veteran must have picked up an early injury.

Everton striker Arouna Kone is booked for leading with an arm as he went up for a header as we move into the final 20 minutes of the half. Centre-back Federico Fernandez needs a bit of treatment and applies a blob of vaseline to the bridge of his nose, in true Jim Leighton style.

  15. Postpublished at 13:09 British Summer Time 11 April 2015

    Dafydd Pritchard
    BBC Wales Sport

"The Liberty Stadium has been momentarily silenced following Bafetimbi Gomis' departure with what looks like a hamstring injury.

"The French striker scored two goals in the 3-1 win over Hull last weekend and had brought the Swansea fans to their feet with a fine turn and shot here which prompted an excellent save from Everton's Tim Howard.

"But with Marvin Emnes on in Gomis' place, the hitherto boisterous crowd at the Liberty Stadium seem a little less confident of Swansea's chances."

This could be the phrase for today's game - pretty play, but a poor finish.

Swansea cut some neat triangles down their right but when the ball comes back to Angel Rangel he fires it high into the stands behind the goal.

Ross Barkley is a joy to watch isn't he? I think so. He beats two men with a subtle shift of balance, just enough to wrongfoot a defender and he finds Arouna Kone on the right of the box, His shot is easily blocked though.

Put Romelu Lukaku and Wilfried Bony out there and we could have a real game on our hands. As it is, it's Kone and Marvin Emnes. Step it up!
