Villa have certainly had their chances to make it 2-0. Ron Vlaar wastes the latest by hammering a shot from inside the box way over the bar when the ball had broken to him following a corner.
It appears as though Leicester may have switched to a back three. They start in a positive fashion with a free-kick (the concession of which earns Craig Gardner a yellow card) that Wes Morgan heads at goal but too close to Boaz Myhill, who gathers.
The now trademark 'Glenn Murray look to the linesman'! The prolific striker heads home his sixth goal in six games to give Crystal Palace the lead. He is onside though, and perfectly placed beyond the far post to meet Yannick Bolasie's deflected cross/shot with a powerful header. He is on fire. Alan Pardew is on fire.
The second halves are starting to get back under way in the Premier League.
Tim Sherwood has had an inconsistent start to his Aston Villa reign, but one man who has benefitted from his influence is Christian Benteke. The striker is the top scorer in the Premier League since Sherwood took over at Villa. If Villa stay up, Benteke deserves huge doff of the cap from everyone involved with the club.
Championship: Promotion and play-off issues are going to type with little to choose between the main protagonists at the break. Amid a rash of drawing scorelines, only Watford and Ipswich are making gains as it stands. All in all, a good half for Bournemouth after their win last night.
League One: With respect to table-toppers Bristol City and Preston (currently 0-0), the basement is where the action is in the third-tier today. Coventry and Scunthorpe will be happiest, boosting their hopes with half-time leads against Colchester and Crawley, respectively. Yeovil, meanwhile, are hanging on by their fingernails. If results go against them today, they could go down, but they're 1-0 up against fellow strugglers Notts County.
League Two: Who wants to get in the play-offs, then? Trouble for hopefuls Newport, Exeter and Stevenage, all trailing 1-0 at the break. And no vital signs yet for league-status-threatened Tranmere and Cheltenham, either - similarly a goal down and rooted in the relegation spots.
Ricky Nelson: Loving the WBA shirts today. All those millions fancy companies plough into shirt design and 1968 vintage still look superior!
Graham Last: Can every club go back to the classic kit?
Today, as part of their Jeff Astle Day tributes, West Brom are wearing a replica of the kit they wore in the 1968 FA Cup final - the game in which Astle scored his most famous Baggies goal.
QPR fans will be hoping for a second-half Southampton goal or two. The Tigers are currently three points clear of the bottom three in the as it stands table.
QPR play leaders Chelsea tomorrow.
We've just seen a replay of West Brom's first goal, complete with goal-line technology. If there was any lasting doubt about whether it had crossed the line, this eradicates that. It was well over. The Baggies may have gone back to the 1960s with their kit but a very modern piece of kit has ensured they got the goal they deserved today.
Sanj: Based on this season's form, England's number one left-back (who somehow can't get into the England squad) has given West Ham the lead. Good lad!
The Dan Shewell: It's a real blow for Villa losing Ciaran Clark, he's been solid. Another defensive injury…
Rory: Why does Mauricio Pochettino insist on playing Christian Eriksen out wide? What a waste of talent! Nacer Chadli better on left wing. Frustrating!

"In terms of possession, Stoke have had the better of it but they are one down. It's Aaron Cresswell's goal by which West Ham somewhat unconvincingly lead."
Today of course sees the biggest day in the horse racing calendar, with the 168th running of the Grand National taking place at Aintree.
The big race begins at 16:15 BST, as AP McCoy bids to provide the fairytale finish to his glittering career.
The build-up is already well under way in our live page, which you can follow here, and of course you can listen to all the action from Aintree on BBC Radio 5 live.
Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Aston Villa

"The visitors have been in control for long periods of the first half and Sunderland have been hanging in there. Palace have created the better opportunities, although they have been half chances, but it's more than Sunderland have created."
Former Tottenham striker Clive Allen
BBC Radio 5 live at White Hart Lane
"Aston Villa have possessed more of a threat and deserve their lead. It's been an outstanding away performance form them so far, while Spurs have been lacklustre."
John Roder
Match of the Day commentator at the Hawthorns
"It has been an entertaining first half on an emotional day as West Brom fans pay tribute to Jeff Astle.
"Goals from Darren Fletcher and Craig Gardner for the Baggies and David Nugent for Leicester have been the notable moments in an open first 45 minutes."
BBC MOTD commentator Jonathan Pearce at White Hart Lane
"Aston Villa ending the first half on top. Christian Benteke has been the major difference between the sides. Villa deservedly ahead at half-time. Benteke is scaring Tottenham's defence, they just can't handle him."
Villa end the half with a free-kick, that Fabian Delph curls a couple of yards over the Tottenham goal. The whistle blows and Tim Sherwood's side have half a job done.
Steve Wilson
BBC Match of the Day commentator
"It's not been a great game. It's Southampton 0, Hull 0."
