Aston Villa area lick of paint away from taking a 2-0 lead at White Hart Lane as Gabriel Agbonlahor's pace and movement takes him into Spurs territory and past Eric Dier, but his low shot from 20 yards strikes the base of the post and flies away from danger. Agbonlahor has that in his locker, but we see it so rarely.

In League One Leyton Orient are back on terms at Crewe through Darius Henderson. Both sides are on 47 points but either side of the relegation cut-off line, so a draw's not much use to either. Coventry City, meanwhile, are looking to edge away from danger against second-from-bottom Colchester and have the lead through Jim O'Brien.

David Nugent's cushioned header reaches Ulloa in the box, he buys himself a yard with a neat bit of footwork to get past his marker and has a clear sight of goal from eight yards but somehow smashes his effort over the bar. Heads in hands all round for the boys in blue.

You can't fault Sunderland or Crystal Palace for enthusiasm or effort, or commitment. It's a tackle fest. Not much in the way of quality though.

Tottenham come again and Christian Eriksen sets up Danny Rose for an angled drive on goal, but is radar is off and the ball flies past the post. Rose has been as productive as anyone in the Spurs attack so far. Soon after, Harry Kane's first sight of goal results in a long-range shot that Brad Guzan saves easily.

Tottenham look to hit back immediately as Harry Kane plays in Christian Eriksen, but he gets his shot from 20 yards out all wrong and slices it horribly into the crowd behind the goal, prompting mass groans around White Hart Lane. They're right to groan, it was awful.

Victor Moses squeezes off a shot for Stoke which just misses the far corner. Stoke having more of the game now but they can't find a breakthrough.

Goals flying in tit-for-tat in the Championship: Adam Le Fondre has equalised for Bolton after Graham Dorrans opened the scoring for Norwich. It's 1-1 between Leeds and Cardiff - as Leeds seek to end a 16-match winless run against the Bluebirds - and also 1-1 in the Midlands derby between Birmingham and Wolves. Joy for Blackpool at Portman Road was short-lived though: Ipswich are now 2-1 ahead.

Only one shot on target so far for Southampton, who are sleepwalking to the end of the season. They've scored five times in their last nine games.

Villa take the lead! And no prizes for guessing who has scored it. Christian Benteke rises above Federico Fazio in the box to meet a Leandro Bacuna cross and steer a header past Michel Vorm. That is eight in his last six games for the big striker. It should appease Tim Sherwood as well, who was getting irate with the fourth official for an offside decision against Gabriel Agbonlahor he clearly felt was wrong.

The challenges keep coming, and after Billy Jones drops the hip on Pape Souare, the Palace full-back has to come off with an impact injury. He is replaced by former Liverpool man Martin Kelly. England's number five at Euro 2012, don't forget...
