Lfcway: Hernandez showing why Louis van Gaal didn't want to keep him at United. Should have scored two tonight.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:28 British Summer Time 22 April 2015

Jose Gimenez is on for Tiago. That's a centre-half on for a midfielder for Atletico. How defensive is too defensive? Get Torres on...

Robin Gelder: The play acting in this game has gone to far! Sort it out lads, too much talent on the field for it.

Harry Wallace: Think it's fair to say Atletico were already doing it the hard way, with or without 10 men.

That save could be so decisive. I don't know how Jan Oblak is at penalties, but from the evidence of the two legs, he'll save the lot.

Shohidur Rahman: Never a second yellow. Disgraceful decision by the ref, he's just handed the game to Real. So sad to see the ref decide the game.

John Pierce: That's a most unconvincing decision, feel for Atletico player. The referee has been so good, calm & reasonable.

Kritt Normsaskul: I'm afraid Ramos made a meal out of that and the referee bought it.

"If it gets to extra-time, it becomes so cagey. We should almost bin extra-time and go straight to penalties."

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:23 British Summer Time 22 April 2015

The chance of the night! And what a save. Absolutely brilliant.

Javier Hernandez could have a penalty as he is hauled down by Diego Godin, Hernandez gets up though and fancies a goal instead. He gets to the ball first, angles in a powerful drive but keeper Jan Oblak is out so quickly to get a telling touch and push it around the post. That was sensational.

Stoke striker Peter Crouch: Ramos is the worlds best at making sure the ref knows it was a bad tackle

Former West Ham striker John Hartson: Why oh why do players take risks when they're on a yellow card.. Stupid or naive? Just don't get it!

Atletico Madrid won't change much of their set-up now. Still sit back and look to break. But they haven't done much of that thus far. Chance for Real to capitalise now. Just over 10 minutes of the 90 to go.

"That should really rev things up with 15 minutes to go. The emphasis is now on Real Madrid to get forward and attack. I'm not sure there was an awful lot of contact... to book a player and send him off for that is harsh. I think Sergio Ramos' reaction has got him sent off."

  13. RED CARDpublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 22 April 2015

There was always a red card on the cards. Arda Turan was booked in the first half, he's not shy of a tackle, and he goes in high to charge down Sergio Ramos' clearance. He is shown a second yellow card and off he goes.

That's got the crowd going. Turan takes an age to leave the field.

    No goals in Madrid.

    No goals in Monaco.

    No goals in Reading.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:16 British Summer Time 22 April 2015

Atletico sub Raul Garcia has a volley but forgets the ball, kicking Raphael Varane instead. He is booked and will miss the next game, while Pepe is booked too for his dissent in reaction.

Shaun Howe: Simeone is getting too confident, he may end up regretting that substitution.

Into the final 20 minutes of normal time. Extra-time to come. Perhaps.

"That was a really good run from Koke, he had to try and flick it on, loop it over Iker Casillas, and it was a really difficult chance. The breakaway almost caused Atletico some problems. They don't want the game to open up."

Real Madrid come up the other end and Cristiano Ronaldo has another shot on goal - again he winces through his follow through. He hurt himself having that shot a few moments ago.

  20. Postpublished at 21:11 British Summer Time 22 April 2015

Solid play from Atletico sub Raul Garcia, away from one challenge and putting in a low cross but Raphael Varane watches it all the way. Defences on top. A glimpse of daylight though as Arda Turan floats a cracking ball over the top for Koke, he's untracked and can't get enough power on his header and it's easy for Iker Casillas.
