Like a footballing Sesame Street, Pep Guardiola delivers an entertaining tactical lesson every game according to the club's chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

"Pep doesn't just have a plan A, B or C, he has the whole alphabet from top to bottom," he purred during the week.

Porto, unbeaten in the competition this season, will be trying to prevent the German champions from reaching a fourth successive Champions League semi-final.

Gerard Pique is making his 300th appearance for Barcelona tonight since signing from Manchester United in 2008. The 28-year-old has gone on to win four league titles and two Champions Leagues at the Nou Camp.

Did Sir Alex Ferguson let him go because he had Jonny Evans coming through? Or have I dreamt that?

Zinedine Zidane - another man who was 'close' to joining Blackburn if you believe the gossip.

Zidane wins this debate doesn't he? For 10 years or so he was an absolute genius. If he came to England he'd probably have been asked to play on the left wing though...

We are asking you which players, past or present, who have never played in England would you have like to see in the Premier League? A certain Frenchman is a popular pick...

Matt Wilkinson: Zinedine Zidane would have been tailor made for English football. Class act.

Joe Salter: Zidane without shadow of a doubt world class touch that would rival Ronaldo.

Joe Scott: Would have loved to see Ronaldinho in the Premier League! He is absolutely awesome.

That's the spirit Steven, Ronaldinho could still happen. If Blackburn get back up it's nailed on this time around. He was close to finding a house in Clitheroe last time.

We asked which player you would have liked to have seen in the Premier League - lots of love for Ronny.

Qasim, Leicester: Has to be Ronaldhino - made the game look easy with his dancing feet. Also that goofy smile would light up the Premier League and make you forgot about your teams woes.

Steven in Derry: An obvious one which technically could still happen but I would have loved to have seen Ronaldinho in England. Never has a player left me in awe of the audacity of his skill like him. Wet, Wednesday night in Stoke would have been all the better.

Mickey G. London: Pippo Inzaghi - Goal poacher supreme. Never got the hang of the offside rule, though.

  15. Messi's miserable year?published at 19:09 British Summer Time 15 April 2015

"It was a year I have tried to forget quickly."

When you're (one of) the world's best player(s) - possibly ever - you have to live up to very, very high standards.

Lionel Messi has been directly involved in more goals (8 goals, 3 assists) than any other player in this season's Champions League

So 2014 is a year Lionel Messi has chosen to write off. And he's certainly been in better form this season.

He was only named the best player of the World Cup and scored 41 times for Barca last year. Rubbish...

Interesting that Luis Enrique has replaced Jeremy Mathieu at centre-half tonight and gone for the greater mobility of Javier Mascherano at the back. Edinson Cavani will no doubt keep him honest - but does the Uruguayan flatter to deceive at the top level?

    Doesn't score enough for me.

  17. Team Newspublished at 19:03 British Summer Time 15 April 2015

Barcelona make their customary keeper change for the Champions League, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen replacing Claudio Bravo. Dani Alves serves a one-match suspension and so Martin Montoya starts at right-back, while Javier Mascherano is selected at centre-back ahead of Jeremy Mathieu.

PSG's already-mentioned suspension woes dictate changes for this game. In total they make five from the team that won the French League Cup on Saturday, which also saw them rest key players. Edinson Cavani is shouldering a greater burden in attack in the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with former Newcastle man Yohan Cabaye coming in to midfield. Gregory van der Wiel returns at right-back, while Salvatore Sirigu takes the place of Nicolas Douchez in goal.

Barcelona starting XI: Ter Stegen, Montoya, Pique, Rakitic, Busquets, Iniesta, Suarez, Messi, Neymar, Mascherano, Alba.

Paris St-Germain starting XI: Sirigu, Van der Wiel, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Maxwell, Rabiot, Cabaye, Matuidi, Lavezzi, Cavani, Pastore.

In the Championship, fourth-placed Watford could move on level points with Norwich in the second automatic promotion place if they beat Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

At the bottom of the table, Fulham in 20th, face Rotherham, 21st, at Craven Cottage. The Cottagers are six points above the relegation zone while their visitors are four points from the drop. A win for either side will go a long way to guaranteeing Championship football next season.

League Two leaders Burton Albion can move within one match of promotion if they beat Carlisle at the Pirelli Stadium. Wins for Bury and Southend on Tuesday mean the earliest Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's side can be promoted is Saturday - assuming they beat Carlisle.

PSG won their home game 3-2, with Blaise Matuidi netting the winner, while Barca's holy trinity of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar all scored in a 3-1 win at the Nou Camp before Christmas.

The sides also met in the quarter-finals two years ago, Barca going through on away goals after a 2-2 draw at the Parc des Princes and a 1-1 draw at the Nou Camp.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is suspended tonight but he's still the talk of the town. That's what a rockstar does.

He's 33 now and is unlikely to ever play in the Premier League - unless Big Sam gets the Bolton retirement home business back up and running next season - which is undoubtedly a shame for fans of the English game.

But which other players - past or present - who have never played in England would you love to see in the Premier League?

I want names and more importantly, reasons.
