Former Bury and Burnley midfielder Jamie Hoyland on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra: "It's a brilliant atmosphere. There's so much on the game. Watching the warm-up, the Preston players look really focused and ready for this match.

"If you're not nervous then you shouldn't be playing. You should have that nerves and adrenaline rush ready to go."

"Immediately prior to kick-off, a message from the home club to travelling Bradford City to acknowledge the 30th anniversary of the 1985 Valley Parade fire disaster gets warm, impromptu applause from all sides of the ground."

As for Coventry City, they will survive in League One if they avoid defeat at Crawley.

Sky Blues manager Tony Mowbray told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "A lot of the emotions will be new for the players but it's the same for both teams and hopefully we'll have enough in us to stay calm and handle whatever Crawley throw at us.

"It won't be through lack of desire, effort and commitment. Both sides will have shedfuls of that and there will be a lot of extra adrenalin.

"We've got to be professional about knowing the scores elsewhere and having them fed through, but I'm sure the supporters will be letting us know what's going on."

  16. Saunders 'excited and nervous'published at 12:07 British Summer Time 3 May 2015

Crawley Town were in relegation trouble when Dean Saunders took charge in December and the Sussex club remain in the bottom four going into the final day's fixtures, although a win against Coventry will be enough to see them safe.

The former Wales international told BBC South East Today: "It's exciting and nervous but I feel confident.

"I knew what I was letting myself in for. Everybody told me not to do it, but if you'd have said to me when I took the job that we were going to need to win the last game at home to stay in the league, I would have taken that because we were in big trouble."

  17. Davis has faith in Crewe defencepublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 3 May 2015

Only two League One clubs have conceded more goals than Crewe Alexandra this season, but manager Steve Davis is confident his side can keep out Bradford City as they look for the point they need to secure survival.

Davis told BBC Radio Stoke: "We know the threat that James Hanson and Jon Stead offer, both in the air and on the floor. We will have to stand up to them, and if we can't win those first balls against Hanson, then make sure we win the second ones.

"Hanson is arguably the best target man in the division, and we know all about Billy Clarke as well from his time with Crawley last season.

"But we've been defending reasonably well of late. We've certainly improved our defending at set pieces over the course of the season."

  18. 'I feel lucky'published at 12:03 British Summer Time 3 May 2015

Notts County are one of the six clubs in danger of relegation today, but they are in control of their own destiny. A win at Gillingham will be enough for the Magpies to stay in League One.

"We will play without fear and reservations," manager Ricardo Moniz told the club website. "We won't be listening to the radio. We must win, we all know that.

"I feel lucky. This game is of massive importance. We must look up. It will be a historical game with thousands of fans there. The fans made the difference against Barnsley and Doncaster, and they will be important again."

  19. 'I do not fear for Orient'published at 12:00 British Summer Time 3 May 2015

What a difference a year makes. Less than 12 months ago, Leyton Orient were at Wembley and they were a couple of successful penalties away from reaching the Championship.

But since losing last season's play-off final to Rotherham on spot-kicks, things have gone rapidly downhill. Only a win at Swindon will do for Orient today, and even then, they must rely on other results if they are to avoid the drop.

Defender Nathan Clarke told BBC London: "We know what we need to do, but unfortunately we need to rely on other results. Hopefully other teams do us a couple of favours.

"I don't fear for the club. We have a chairman who is willing to invest and making funds available for players to come in. He wants to push the club forward but it has not happened this season."

  20. Colchester's Humes targets survivalpublished at 11:58 British Summer Time 3 May 2015

Colchester United will be relegated if they lose to promotion-chasing Preston today. They have rarely been out of the bottom four since November, but have retained a chance of survival heading into the final day.

Manager Tony Humes told BBC Essex: "It's testament to this squad that they've kept us in it by pulling out results in recent games.

"We've been in a difficult situation for a long while but the players have always bounced back and given everything. We've got to believe we can do it again.

"There is a bigger picture at this club for the future, but I'd like that picture to include League One football."
