And the day's first Premier League game is up and running...
The players are out at St Mary's, including Villa's Jack Grealish. We spoke about haircuts earlier in regard to Steven Gerrard's consistent career cut... well Villa's new young star has, shall we say, started off on a different path with a peaky blinders-style affair. Mind you, Saints keeper Paulo Gazzaniga's mini ponytail isn't much better.
Wesley Cheung:, external Could Gerrard do a "Lampard", sign on loan to Chelsea next season and finally get a League Winner's medal?
Dion Dublin
BBC Football Focus
"Good players affect football matches, and Gerrard has done that for so long that he became a great player."
Norwich go close to taking the lead in their play-off semi-final tie with Ipswich as Russell Martin swivels and drives a low shot towards the bottom corner of the goal following a corner. Fortunately for Ipswich, they have a well-placed man on the post in Paul Anderson, who is able to put his boot through the ball to clear.
Kevin Kilbane
BBC Football Focus
"He will go down as one of best ever midfielders in the Premier League, along with Roy Keane. He had everything, he was the complete modern-day midfielder. He stood up to be counted at the big moments."
Hull have won just two of their last 10 league matches. They are without a victory in six Premier League games against Tottenham.
Newcastle have gone nine Premier League games without a win. They have lost their last five away matches, conceding 14 goals without scoring.
Sunderland have earned 10 points from the last five matches and are undefeated in the last six league meetings with Leicester.
Leicester have won six of their last seven matches.
It would be fair to say Hull and Newcastle fans are a little bit worried.
Football Focus
Football Focus is live now on BBC 1, with Steven Gerrard looking ahead to what he admits will be an emotional occasion at Anfield later.
Kaka could have joined Manchester City a few years back, but now he's plying his trade at Orlando City in the MLS, and Focus talks to the the Brazilian, who could be facing Gerrard in the not too distant future. There's also a look at new Manchester United signing Memphis Depay.
Actor and Grimsby Town fan Thomas Turgoose looks at his club's Conference play-off final against Bristol Rovers, and goes head-to-head with Lawro in predicting the weekend's Premier League results.
10 minutes gone at Carrow Road. There has been plenty of noise and committed tackles, but not a lot of goalmouth action. You can follow that game here.
We won't see a team relegated from the Premier League today. We'll have to wait until at least Wednesday for that, when Sunderland play their game in hand at Arsenal.
However, today's results are likely to play a huge part in deciding the battle against the drop, starting with Aston Villa's game at Southampton. A Villa win will mean they are safe and able to turn their focus on the FA Cup final. They might even be safe tonight if they get beat, but that is dependent on other results. That game will be getting under way in about 25 minutes.
Simon from Birmingham: Watching #bcfc lose 8-0 at home! Then winning more games in Gary Rowett's first month than we did previous year!!! Strange strange season.
Christian in Tunbridge Wells: The fact that even non-Liverpool fans longed for Luis Suarez to be in the Premier League. Like him or loathe him, you want him playing in the premiership.

Norwich have dished out the flags to their fans for the play-off semi second leg against Ipswich. Some are waving furiously, some less so and some have sensibly decided to completely ignore them, despite the calls on the tannoy to get flapping.
Whether they are wving flags or not, both sets of fans are making plenty of noise. Game on.
Ever found yourself disagreeing with Mark Lawrenson's predictions?
Last week Lawro would have scored an amazing 120 points in our new BBC Sport predictor game, while Dartford's fans are top of the club table with an average of 63 points.
Test your predictions today here and don't worry - it only takes 30 seconds to register!
Rob Thomas:, external James Collins scoring the own goal of the season that he couldn't replicate if he tried.
It is pleasant day in Norwich. Mick McCarthy looks to be sunning himself down on the bench as one of the sprinklers threatens to give him a dousing. He look pretty relaxed but that is surely the calm before the storm.
The East Anglian mega-powers are about to explode at the Carrow Road. The stakes? Oh, just a potential shot at top-flight football and an extra £120m in the coffers.
With two games to go the smart relegation money is on Hull City, who have been more like an asthmatic kitten than a tiger of late. However, Newcastle appear determined to throw themselves in front of City and take a relegation bullet for the division, that's if rivals Sunderland don't beat them to it.
Leicester have done to the form book what Geoff Capes used to do to phone directories, while Villa can crawl out of the mire and shower themselves off today before it gets really messy at 3 o'clock.
The Championship has already called two top-flight boats in. One of five teams will soon be getting the shout: your Premier League time is up.
Thanks Saj. Fine work, sir. I salute you. So, Burnley, gone. QPR, gone. Whose next?
As its stands, Hull, Newcastle, Sunderland, Leicester and Villa are playing their own game of thrones. And as anyone who reads/watches George RR Martin's work knows, nobody is guaranteed to survive.
Within the next week we are going to have our own Red Wedding. And one of the aforementioned teams aren't going to be back for the next series.
OK I'll now hand you over to the more than capable Phil Dawkes to guide you through the day's action, starting with that Championship play-off second leg at Carrow Road.
Thanks for your messages and #thanksstevie.
Two changes for Southampton with James Ward-Prowse and Shane Long replacing midfield pairing Harrison Reed and Eljero Elia from the 2-0 defeat against Leicester City last Saturday.
Villa make one change from the 1-0 win against West Ham last weekend, as defender Alan Hutton replaces Kieran Richardson.
Southampton XI: Gazzaniga, Clyne, Fonte, Alderweireld, Bertrand, Wanyama, S. Davis, Ward-Prowse, Mané, Long, Pellè.
Aston Villa XI: Given, Bacuna, Vlaar, Okore, Hutton, Westwood, Delph, Cleverley, N'Zogbia, Grealish, Benteke.
Hugh in France:, external Thank the lord #avfc won the semi. If today is anything to go by, the Gerrard love-in would have ruined the Cup Final too.
