Helles Mammut:  And The Special One said Hazard was better than Cristiano Ronaldo...

Siddharth Menon:  So much for the "next Ronaldo". Even when out of form, a world class player would not miss sitters like that.

  7. Postpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 2 August 2015

    Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

"It was a very decent ball from Cesc Fabregas into Eden Hazard and Laurent Koscielny did so well to get back to put any kind of pressure on him. The chances keep coming for Chelsea though."

  8. Postpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 2 August 2015

    Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

BBC Sport's Danny Murphy: "At his fittest and sharpest that is a goal. Eden Hazard has looked a little leggy and that is inevitable with all the travelling he has done."

  9. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

Oh that should have been the equaliser! Or at least a shot on target for Chelsea.

Eden Hazard has looked decidedly leggy today and he makes a mess of a golden chance to score when Cesc Fabregas' pass puts him through on goal, but he skews his shot high and wide.

You can watch that chance by using the highlights tab.

  10. Postpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 2 August 2015

    Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Scotland international on BBC Radio 5 live

"Chelsea were really missing somebody who could move the ball quickly in the first half and that's something Oscar does brilliantly. He's also got a great understanding with Eden Hazard. The Belgian's been very quiet so far but Oscar might be able to bring him into the game."

    Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

"If play continues to go the way it is going at the moment then I don't think it'll be too long before Arsene Wenger makes changes. He'll bring Olivier Giroud on up top and then there'll be a decision to keep one of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott on out wide."

  12. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

Oscar is straight into the action as he scampers forward from midfield. He fancies his chances from 30 yards, but he shouldn't have because his shot is poor, scuffed well wide of Petr Cech's goal.

Arsenal seem quite content to slow the pace of the game down a bit, and let Chelsea do the attacking. The Blues have been blunt in attack so far.

Andrew: The inevitable Arsenal fans' 'this is our year' tweets will no doubt come out now. It's only the Community Shield lads...

Kritt: Have a feeling Arsenal can really challenge strongly for the title this year. The Gunners still have Sanchez to welcome back.

Patrick Mgala: It seems everyone has forgotten Arsenal. A couple of decent chances and a lead they'll fail to defend at the end of the day.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 53 mins

    Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

Another change for Chelsea as Oscar comes on for Ramires. A bit of a surprise because Ramires had looked dangerous in the first half.

  15. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

Chelsea have seen plenty of the ball in the early stages of this half, but they are almost caught out when Mesut Ozil is left alone in plenty of space. Francis Coquelin spots his run and tries to drive a low pass to Ozil but hits it with too much pace and Chelsea escape.

    Jermaine Jenas

"If Radamel Falcao does turn out to be a success at Chelsea it's not going to be something that happens overnight. He's shown his phenomenal goalscoring ability in the past, and if he can get anything near that Jose Mourinho will be absolutely delighted."

Roars of encouragement from the Chelsea fans as Radamel Falcao picks up a pass and runs at the Arsenal defence. His shot is poor, though, and straight at an Arsenal defender.

The days of sharing the shield are long gone.

If this finishes level after 90 minutes it's straight to penalties. No messing about.
