Just at the moment Southampton are building up a head of steam. Is it because Everton are sitting a little on the two-goal cushion?

    Tottenham v Stoke (15:00 BST)

Returning to the match at White Hart Lane, Stoke are in need of a win themselves. Last weekend, they were beaten 1-0 at home by Liverpool, who got some revenge for the 6-1 hammering they suffered at the end of the previous season. Mark Hughes has responded to that opening defeat with intent, bringing in winger Xherdan Shaqiri for a club-record fee of £12m (although he is banned today).

If Stoke want to draw on recent history, it makes pleasant reading - Stoke won both games against Tottenham last season - the first time they had done the double over them in their history.

Everton are a more enterprising side. The midfield of Southampton are slightly second best to that of Everton's with Tom Cleverley, Gareth Barry and Ross Barkley.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:34

    Southampton 0-2 Everton

What a superb half for the visitors. Under pressure and unfancied but they've ruthlessly picked the Saints apart. This is the first time Romelu Lukaku has scored a brace in the Premier League since November 2013 (against Liverpool). He has had two shots so far today and scored with both and is now the top-scoring Belgian in Premier League history with 44 goals (two ahead of Christian Benteke).

    Romelu Lukaku (44 mins)

This goal is all about Romelu Lukaku. It is a showcase for his power, pace, drive and goal-scoring ability. He picks up the ball in the middle of the pitch and finds Ross Barkley in a more advanced position before charging past him to receive the return pass and fire in to the bottom corner from the edge of the box. Utter class from the big Belgian.
