Palace are finally pushing. Joel Ward's header towards goal is straight at Petr Cech.

And it almost proves costly for Arsenal. Jason Puncheon's right -wing corner is flicked towards goal by Mikel Arteta but it deflects off Jordon Mutch's head in front of goal and over.

Patrick Bamford's first real involvement is to earn his side a corner. It shouldn't be one as the ball came of Bamford last...

If anything, Arsenal look the more likely to score the next goal as they soak up the pressure and hit the Eagles on the break.

Yahan Cabaye does punt the ball into the penalty area for the hosts but it is all pretty toothless. The Gunners are looking solid.

Arsenal may not have been as dominant in the last few minutes but they are looking pretty comfortable.

Kieran Gibbs replaces Mesut Ozil on the left flank for Arsenal. Another player with a more defensive nature,

Palace are enjoying more and more off the ball as the minutes tick by. Can they force an equaliser?

A couple of changes. Arsene Wenger goes on the defensive as he replaces attacking midfielder Alexis Sanchez with Mikel Arteta in the centre. Lee Chung-Yong comes on for Wilfried Zaha for Palace and will play in the middle of the park, with Jordon Mutch pushed further forward.

They have not scored two goals in a home game against Arsenal since 1980. First time for everything I guess.

So close to a third for the Gunners. Mesut Ozil produces a sublime deft flick into Aaron Ramsey's path but his pile driver from an angle flies over the bar. Delightful from the German.

No surprise there. Francis Coquelin is replaced by Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain in the centre of the park for the Gunners. He walks off to huge Palace jeers while Alan Pardew ruefully shakes his head.

He has been taken off before being sent off...

Francis Coquelin must have some lucky heather on him today. The Arsenal midfielder, already booked, tangles with James McArthur and is penalised. The home fans roar for a second yellow but nothing doing.

It would have been a hash caution but that is three tackles he could have been booked for now. Time to take him off Arsene?
