20:31 BST 10 August 2015Yaya Toure has scored five goals in his last three games at The Hawthorns. Our stats friends Opta tell us they're sticking with the Ivorian as the opening goalscorer (subject to the dubious goals panel).

20:29 BST 10 August 2015Not a bad half from Yaya Toure so far - he is yet to misplace a pass (as the green arrows on the graphic show) and has had two shots, both resulting in goals.
On the decline? Not on this evidence.

29 minsWest Brom have a free-kick 35 yards out. Debutant Rickie Lambert steps up to take it. Now he doesn't strike me as a 35-yard free-kick guy and I'd be right to think that. It's well over.
But it is West Brom's first shot of the game so at least there's that.

BBC Radio 5 live at The HawthornsQuote MessageFantastic play. The first ball from Yaya Toure was round the corner to Wilfried Bony with the outside of his right foot and he got it back before curling a shot into the top corner. City have started so well against a team that kept 10 clean sheets in 18 games under Tony Pulis last season.
GOAL - West Brom 0-2 Manchester City - Yaya Tourepublished at 24 mins
24 minsThere's no way David Silva will be claiming this one. It's a brilliant goal by Yaya Toure. The midfielder plays a one-two with Ivory Coast team-mate Wilfried Bony and just sweeps the ball into the back of the net from 20 yards. He made it look so easy but it was a fantastic strike.

22 minsManchester City just passing the ball around in midfield with ease. As I write that, Eliaquim Mangala plays a long, aimless ball forward and loses it. But City have it back again.

18 minsI know we're only into the 18th minute but this is the best performance by one of the title contenders so far.

Good weekend for African playerspublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 10 August 2015
20:16 BST 10 August 2015If Yaya Toure does get that goal, nine of the 28 goals scored in the Premier League in the opening weekend have been scored by African players.
It took 119 goals for that mark last season.

20:15 BST 10 August 2015Safe to say it's been one-way traffic so far, while West Brom just can't get hold of the ball.
The heat map below left shows where West Brom's players have had possesion, the one on the right where Man City have had the ball.

14 minsI'd like to tell you West Brom have reacted to that goal positively but it continues to be all Manchester City.

BBC Radio 5 live at The HawthornsQuote MessageWest Brom boss Tony Pulis has been bold to play two up top but striker Rickie Lambert is playing more in midfield. Manchester City are dominating.

13 minsManchester City have had 80.4% possession. You maths whizzes out there will be able to work out that means West Brom have only had 19.6% so far.

20:11 BST 10 August 2015GOAL - West Brom 0-1 Manchester City - Yaya Tourepublished at 9 mins
9 minsManchester City lead. Jesus Navas picks out Yaya Toure whose shot from just outside the box is deflected in and dribbles past the line. On second viewing David Silva actually got a flick on it which Craig Dawson then deflected into his net.
Don't be surprised if it gets awarded to Silva instead, but for now it's Toure's.
