  1. "West Ham can hurt you"published at 18:04 British Summer Time 19 September 2015

    Man City 0-2 West Ham

    Danny Mills
    Final Score

"West Ham have actually done better against the stronger teams away from home. I think that's a mindset that they don't have to take the game to the opposition. They have got good players on the break. They've got players that can hurt you."

  5. Manager reaction - Advocaatpublished at 17:59

    Bournemouth 2-0 Sunderland

Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat whose side slipped to the foot of the Premier League table: "The second half was better but you cannot do worse than the first half. We started the first half totally hopelessly. In away games, we are too late to react. There was no sharpness. We have to wonder what we do wrong. We work hard in training so me and the players have to look in the mirror.

"Two points after six games is not good enough. Nice words is not enough, we have to do it a different way now. I am sure we will stay up though."

  6. North East football is "atrocious"published at 17:57

"North East football, here's a stat. From 36 available points this season they have four. It's atrocious. Atrocious."

Safe to assume that Robbie won't be showing his face on Tyneside or Wearside tonight....

  7. Manager reaction - McClarenpublished at 17:54

    Newcastle 1-2 Watford

Newcastle manager Steve McClaren, who is yet to win a league game in charge of the Magpies: "I got a reaction from my players in the second half and we had enough opportunities. The difference, as it was on Monday against West Ham, was that Watford put the ball back of the net.

"No-one said this job was going to be easy, we didn’t think it would be. I thought the last two games would be a test for us and we would know a lot more and we know now this is a tough job, a hard job."

  9. Manager reaction - Hughespublished at 17:52

    Stoke 2-2 Leicester

Stoke manager Mark Hughes was unhappy with the refereeing as his winless side threw away a 2-0 lead against unbeaten Leicester.

"It seemed like it took three or four attempts by their players to stop ours before a free-kick was given," said the Welshman.

"That was the case with Jon Walters [before Leicester's equaliser]. We asked at the end of the match and the referee said he wanted to play advantage. What sort of advantage is that for us? They go up the other end and score. We want a level playing field but things seem to conspire against us. But we won't hide behind them. We needed to be better in the second half.

"A lot of our play is good but we need to handle the key moments. We will get better."

    Stoke 2-2 Leicester

Stoke manager Mark Hughes, who side are still searching for their first win this season:"I am frustrated. At 2-0 up we were good value for it. We spoke at half-time about not letting Leicester back in. We made a mistake on the penalty, which was probably outside the box but on the performance of today's officials was always likely to be given. That gave them a foothold in the game."

  14. "Villa need an injection of experience and quality"published at 17:43

    Aston Villa 0-1 West Brom

    Garth Crooks
    Final Score

"Villa are trying to produce Premier League performances with players who are not quite there. They need an injection of experience and quality, otherwise Sherwood's side will struggle.

"Give Tim some decent players and I think he could do some really good things in this division, I really do."

  15. Manager reaction - Sherwoodpublished at 17:41

    Aston Villa 0-1 West Brom

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood after defeat left his team just a point out of the bottom three: "West Brom deserved to win the game to be perfectly honest. We showed a little more appetite in the second period but didn’t create too many clear-cut chances. We are disappointed but we know where the problems lie and we will try to put it right. I'm sure we will.

"Credit to West Brom, but I recognise the problems at the moment and need to look at it again to make sure I’m not being too emotional. But it's a transition period at this club. The performances haven’t been as bad as the result, though today is an exception as I’m disappointed.

"I can look into the eyes of my players and know they are on side."
