The 25-year-old, who has four goals in his eight Premier League games to date, jogs off the pitch with the physio so you'd guess he should be OK to continue.

Not what Swansea fans want to see as Andre Ayew, their player of the season so far, is down injured in the box. He seems to be holding his groin.

That was a fantastic effort by Joselu. Both teams have been guilty of giving the ball away too easily but Stoke will be very pleased with the first half an hour.

I don't know too much about Stoke striker Joselu but he's just shot up in my book there. The Spanish summer signing from Hannover tries an outragous bicycle kick from outside the box. I mean, it went well wide but fair play for trying.

  5. Postpublished at 28 mins

Stoke have only had one shot so far in this game to Swansea's four - and that was the goal obviously.

Stoke give the ball to Bafetimbi Gomis, who runs forward but then runs out of ideas 20 yards from goal and is crowded out by the Potters defence.

That's more goals in this game, that's a promise*.

    Swansea 0-1 Stoke

Swansea started poorly but they're now seeing more of the ball and they're shading the territorial battle.

    Warning signs for Stoke.

Swansea fans were really riled by that Jack Butland tackle on Ande Ayew a minute ago as it was replayed twice on the large screen in case they missed it the first time. Or the second...

Swansea are edging play at the moment now and Jonjo Shelvey forces a save from Jack Butland from outside the penalty area. Stoke's dominant start a bit of a fading memory now (although they still lead).

  12. Postpublished at 18 mins

Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland is hugely fortunate not to concede a goal here. The England international appears to be in two minds and plays it straight to Andre Ayew. He makes up for it with a studs-up challenge on Ayew, which has really annoyed the Ghanaian. A small chance the ball might have struck Butland on an arm too from the rebound.

Bafetimbi Gomis has Swansea's first chance from open play but his header from Jack Cork's deep right-wing cross is well off target. It was probably slightly behind the striker.

  14. Postpublished at 16 mins

Awful play by Xherdan Shaqiri, who plays a really weak ball to a team-mate as Stoke break and Swansea intercept and counter.

It's either going to be wonderful or absolutely appalling from Mr Shelvey. That free-kick was in the latter category.

  16. Postpublished at 15 mins

Even more so after seeing that free-kick. Jonjo Shelvey, doing his best Rugby World Cup impression, hoiks his kick well over the crossbar. Three points.

Is hoiks a word? Or have I made that up?

  17. Postpublished at 13 mins

Swansea look to have slightly steadied the ship after that start. And they have a free-kick in an attacking position now as Glenn Whelan fouls Jack Cork. Shame Gylfi Sigurdsson is on the bench...

Surely not... What's the alternative? Players know not to foul in the box, don't they?

Stoke right-back Glen Johnson, who scandalously wears number eight, fouls Jefferson Montero on the halfway line. A clever tactical foul as the winger was just about to sprint away. No booking.
