Christopher Ballett: Cursed with the two most negative managers as Fergie's successors. We were lucky to be under Fergie's spell though.

Keith: Remember the south dressing room "curse" at the Millennium Stadium? Stoke City were the 13th team to use that dressing room and the first to win while using it!

I like to think Roy finished the Conga by steaming straight into a rendition of the Macarena.

    He's a good sport.

Anyway, how is everyone? Off to the game in fancy dress today? Why not send us some pics of your scary costumes (providing you're going to the match, of course). Send them via #bbcfootball, external and we'll try and publish the best ones.

The pressure of Chelsea qualifying for the Champions League comes from the people above Jose Mourinho, rather than the fans, based on what has happened at the club over the last 10 years. There have been managers who have better starts who have lost their jobs. So what if he isn’t successful this season? I bet he will be a better manager for it, even if he doesn’t get what he wants.

FK: Arsenal have been cursed by Sheffield Wednesday, can't beat them at Hillsborough since 93. Suspect Chris Waddle is responsible.

Adrian: Fernandes walked under a ladder the day he bought QPR. Every game has been rubbish since, we've had the curse for 4+ yrs now.

It has been suggested Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho could lose his job should today bring defeat by Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

This is an astonishing state of affairs given the style in which he claimed the Premier League title in May - surely owner Roman Abramovich will take this into consideration, even if Chelsea do lose today?

Mourinho himself is determined to win the fight, saying in his programme notes: "The quality has been there, the desire has been there and now we have to keep working to make sure we get the results our hard work deserves."

My club Bristol Rovers got pranked for a TV show by 2 supposed feng shui experts in 2000. Put a fish tank with plastic fish behind the goal, all toilet seats had to be down and there were ornamental ceramic frogs, wind chimes and pot plants in the changing rooms. We lost 1-0 to Gillingham.

Chelsea do not just need a good performance and a positive result against Liverpool, they need two or three more afterwards too. Only then will their players start thinking 'we are back'. There is no magic wand and Chelsea's bad run has already lasted longer than anyone expected but I am still confident that, in another couple of months, they will be back to the standards they were last season. It is just a case then of whether the gap is too big for them to defend their title - but I still think they will finish in the top four.

Lamb substitute: I seem to recall Southampton bringing in a witch to lift a curse on the new stadium left by the builders.

Well remembered. Back in 2001, Southampton failed to win any of their first five games at new stadium St Mary's - sparking rumours it was cursed because it had been built on an ancient pagan burial site, or Portsmouth-supporting builders had buried a Pompey shirt in the foundations.

Thankfully a 1-0 win against Charlton saw off the hoodoo.

I think it’s a good thing that he has gone to Liverpool, it’s a big club with a lot of history. Everyone is happy he has gone there, the situation is not easy but I’m sure he will take his genius there and if I had advice for the players don’t make Klopp angry, because when he gets angry…

Special used to be normal for both these clubs, but these are far from 'normal' times. The word on the street is that Jose Mourinho will be out on his ear if Chelsea lose - but don't whisper that near him. He has as much time for the man on the street as the Sex Pistols' Sid Vicious had. Meanwhile, the new punk in town - fresh from his first win as Liverpool boss - will see this as a special challenge to savour.
