I'm surprised Louis van Gaal is rising to it. Football is a massive business now and everyone has a right to give their opinion, especially someone like Paul Scholes. If Van Gaal is rising to every pundit, which is what Scholes is now, then I think he may be going down the wrong path. They are playing a lot of possession football, but if you look at the likes of West Ham, they are winning without the ball. They break with pace, but who has legs in the United team except Anthony Martial?

Crystal Palace v Man Utd (15:00 GMT)

If Manchester United's performances were as entertaining as Louis van Gaal's news conferences then Paul Scholes would probably have little to complain about.

United boss Van Gaal gave Scholes' comments short shrift after the former midfielder said he would "not enjoy" playing in the Dutchman's current side because "there is a lack of creativity and risk."

Van Gaal responded on Friday by saying: "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but names won't hurt me." He added: "I don't agree with his opinion. I always take risks. Manchester United is always entertaining."

I think the players are playing for him, we saw that at Stoke, and he still seems humorous in his interviews and is putting up a fight. I think he will learn from this season, but it looks to me like Chelsea have had a poor pre-season and they have been complacent over the summer. Maybe if he can take anything from this season, he should be more magnanimous in defeat.

It is an absolute joke that Jose Mourinho is being talked about as being the next Premier League manager who could lose his job. The success Mourinho has had, especially at Chelsea, means he has earned the right to have a bad three months without being sacked. He should be allowed to have a poor six months or even a bad season, because everyone has them - even Sir Alex Ferguson did at Manchester United."

Make no mistake, Chelsea's home game with Liverpool is the standout match of the day.

But on a day when all the big boys are in action it's not all about Mourinho and his players. No way Jose.

Will Manchester United's visit to Crystal Palace be like another trip to the casino for Louis van Gaal? Can Manchester City produce another goal feast against struggling Norwich in front of their own fans, having scored 11 times in their last two top-flight home games?

Will Arsenal warm up for next week's Champions League game at Bayern Munich with victory away to Swansea?
