Even a look at the most basic stats is damning for Chelsea, they had half the shots their visitors did.

As all of the Jose Mourinho reaction hits us in waves, it's worth looking at the way these sides setup today.

These are the average positions players took up. You can see the away side were positive, committing their full-backs high. They also played more openly across midfield than Jose Mourinho's side. James Milner - number seven - was noticeably advanced.

And with a brief handshake, Jose Mourinho disappears down the tunnel. Jurgen Klopp is beaming, his first league win as Liverpool boss.

What a place and what a time to get it. John Terry claps supporters but he looks lost, almost clueless as to this situation. Chelsea have not looked this low in many, many years.

"You'll Never Walk Alone," rings around Stamford Bridge. This was Jose Mourinho's worst nightmare when he went to bed last night.

Kurt Zouma hits a woeful cross as the Bridge begins to empty.

Jose Mourinho's face is stiff. No emotion, he looks almost vague in his expression. A rub of his lips, what words will they summon in that dressing room and for a media who will be itching to see him.

Chelsea are at home, but have they really created much? Has there been any sophistication? Oscar, Diego Costa, Hazard - none of them have had any impact."

A late change sees Adam Lallana taken off for Dejan Lovren. Liverpool don't really need another defender and instead it's Philippe Coutinho seeking his hat-trick. He jinks in the box but sees a shot deflected behind. We've played one of four added minutes.

Do Liverpool deserve it? The balance of play paints a picture which implies so.

It's cruise control now, they soak up attacks which scream of disbelief.

What is Jose Mourinho going to say? He will go bonkers at the fact Lucas Leiva wasn't sent off in the second period one would think.

"Ole", rings from the Liverpool end with every pass.

So what have you got Chelsea? This is shocking to see. They look like a boxer begging to be put of misery. Ring the bell.

Too many Chelsea players have been miles below par today. Liverpool have broken so intelligently in the second half and they've taken their chances."

Remarkable, absolutely remarkable. The Jose Mourinho saga throws up another twist. Liverpool virtually walk this into the net - an Adam Lallana step over leaves Christian Benteke with work to do but 18 yards out, no challenge comes in on the substitute who eventually fires low into the corner.

"Sacked in the morning," the Liverpool fans sing... AGAIN.

Liverpool have been the better, more positive side throughout and there was almost an air of desperation in the way Mourinho clapped his hands and pleaded with his players to up the tempo after Coutinho's goal.

Chelsea's fans rally to the cause and Mourinho's name rings around Stamford Bridge.

Diego Costa in the Liverpool box, he twists and turns... fires... blocked by Martin Skrtel.

It sparks a counter-attack and a three against three setup. Jordon Ibe has the ball out wide. He attacks his man and shoots... wide via a deflection. Jurgen Klopp is hopping on the spot. He can't contain himself.

Anyone go big on Chelsea players in their fantasy football team this year?

Eden Hazard was a must pick. Branislav Ivanovic a super choice given his love of netting from set pieces. My oh my, how wrong so many of us were.

Not a single Chelsea player is currently among the best XI players during the campaign - the dream team.

Eden Hazard - a star last season - has 35 points, half of that of Riyad Mahrez. Yikes.

Philippe Coutinho may have got some of you off to a great start today. Well done if so.
