    Terry Butcher
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

"Newcastle have defended doggedly and Rob Elliot has been superb in goal. They were unlucky against Stoke last week and this time it was their turn to snatch something from a game. Bournemouth were unbelievable but they've lost the game - they can't believe it."

"A massive win for Newcastle - they have put in some good performances over the last couple of weeks.

"What a tough gig it is to be a football manager. Eddie Howe will be feeling it in the pit of his stomach.

"But what a fantastic goalkeeping performance from Rob Elliot!"

    Championship preview

No doubt about the big match in the Championship - new leaders Hull City at home to fourth-placed Middlesbrough. Steve Bruce's Hull are tied on 31 points with Burnley, away at Wolves, and Brighton, home to MK Dons, but boast a superior goal difference.

There's a huge match at the bottom where Neil Lennon's Bolton, four points from safety and without a win in nine league games, entertain 21st-placed Bristol City.

We'll have goal updates from the Championship throughout the afternoon.

    Bournemouth 0-1 Newcastle

That will hurt more than most. Bournemouth battered Newcastle but lost. C'est La Vie.

The Cherries slip into the bottom three.

  7. Bournemouth 'lacking a killer instinct'published at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2015

    Bournemouth 0-1 Newcastle

    Jermaine Jenas
Former Newcastle and England midfielder on Final Score

"This is a classic case of "that's football". The Cherries have just not put the ball in the back of the net, and have done everything but. They have demonstrated passion and attacking intent, but they are lacking a killer instinct."

    Leicester v Watford

There's almost no news from these two line-ups. Leicester make one change - and a slight shuffle - from the win at West Brom last week. Defender Christian Fuchs comes in for striker Leonardo Ulloa, meaning Jeff Schlupp goes higher up the field.

Nothing to see for Watford, they name the same starting XI that has defeated both Stoke and West Ham. Consistent.

    Sunderland v Southampton (15:00 GMT)

Sunderland make four changes from their hammering at Everton last Sunday. It would appear Sam Allardyce is going to try a back four but Wes Brown is replaced by Younes Kaboul. Elsewhere, Jordi Gomez is in for Lee Cattermole while Duncan Watmore and Ola Toivonen come in.

Just the two changes for Southampton from their 2-0 win over Bournemouth. Victor Wanyama is suspended and James Ward-Prowse comes in. Maya Yoshida is in for Cedric Soares at full-back.

Pete, Halifax: All these plastic United fans get my goat. We stood by Fergie when he had 4 years and we were pants. We stood by Atkinson. Doc. Sexton and Uncle Tom Cobby. I stand for LVG. Because right now he IS United. We will do better year on year. Get behind the team!

Nick, Calne: Wayne Rooney too happy? I am sure I would be pretty content on £200k a week. The guy has never really proved himself to be world class but having said that who ever expected him to be? Too much hype too young.

Everton also make one change from their last game - Bryan Ovideo suffered a hamstring injury during their win over Sunderland and the man who replaced him at left-back that day, Brendan Galloway, gets the nod today too.

Starting XI: Howard, Galloway, Funes Mori, Stones, Coleman, Barry, McCarthy, Kone, Barkley, Deulofeu, Lukaku.

Subs: Joel, Gibson, Mirallas, Lennon, Naismith, Osman, Holgate

  19. Another hard-luck story?published at 14:12

    Norwich v Swansea (15:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    Former Liverpool defender

"Swansea had plenty of chances last week in their defeat by Arsenal but they have been in the Premier League long enough to know what happens if you don't take them against the top clubs.

"Norwich had their own hard-luck story, losing at Manchester City after defending well for most of the game.

"I don't see many goals in this Canaries team but Swansea will come at them, and that will suit Norwich at Carrow Road."
