    Sheff Wed 1-0 Arsenal

Why are Arsenal wearing blue tonight...?

Because they have contracts with the kit makers to play different kits for different matches regardless of whether the other team clashes with their original colours or not.

    Ouch.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain lasted five minutes, Theo Walcott replaced him and lasted 13 minutes.

A goal down, and Ross Wallace has just gone close to another. It's not been a good start for Arsenal.

"I'm not going to say Diego Costa doesn't fancy it, but he has taken a couple of knocks. It's cold and wet - I don't think he fancies it..."

Diego Costa is hobbling. Loic Remy is getting stripped and ready to come on. Costa was putting himself about a bit but it looks like that's the end of the night for the striker.

It is cold, it is wet. Trevor Sinclair reckons Costa 'doesn't fancy it'.

After a bright start the game has really fizzled out at the KC. Could be a long night...

  6. 'Ideal for Wednesday'published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2015

    Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Arsenal

    Chris Waddle
BBC Radio 5 live at Hillsborough

"It's ideal for Sheffield Wednesday now with their game plan. They can just keep sitting back. What a fiish by Ross Wallace, he just side foots it into the bottom corner."

  7. CLOSE!published at 20:15

    Everton 0-0 Norwich

A great chance for Everton to break the deadlock at Goodison Park, but Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku dawdles too long on the ball - after being put through - and ends up tamely shooting straight at Norwich goalkeeper Declan Rudd.

"Stoke boss Mark Hughes will be pleased with that chance for Muniesa. His team showed commitment to get men into the box."

Two players lost through injury and the night has just got even worse for Arsenal as Sheffield Wednesday take the lead, and it is a fine finish.

Daniel Pudil gets away down the left and cuts the ball back to the edge of the area towards Ross Wallace, who curls a first-time strike between Per Mertesacker and the post.

  10. CLOSE!published at 20:13

    Stoke 0-0 Chelsea

Oh what a goal this would have been! Marc Muniesa, whose only goals for Stoke have come in the League Cup, goes for the acrobatic with a spectacular bicycle kick that just lands on the roof of the net.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are temporarily down to 10 men, with Diego Costa currently off the pitch after a clash with the Stoke goalkeeper.

    Hull City 0-0 Leicester

So far so good at Hull as they continue to put the pressure on Leicester. This time, Michael Dawson has a chance on goal when he rises to meet a corner, but his looping header is easy pickings for goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.

Chelsea are finding their groove in the Potteries. A slick move ends up at the feet of Brazil midfielder Oscar, who smashes towards the left corner from the edge of the area. But Stoke keeper Jack Butland is alert, diving to tip the ball over the crossbar.

What's going on with Arsenal!? Theo Walcott came on in the fifth minute after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain went off with an unspecified injury and now the substitute cannot continue for some reason. On comes 17-year-old midfielder Ismael Bennacer for his debut.

"The Chelsea players need to answer a lot of questions tonight, and they have started well. They look committed and behind their manager. There's a really good tempo to this game."

  16. Postpublished at 20:03

    Stoke 0-0 Chelsea

Charlie Adam bagged from 65 yards when these two sides met last season and he once again has a go from distance. It is not quite that far out, but it is a long-range effort that whacks Gary Cahill full pelt on his head.

  17. 'Cold night in Stoke...'published at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2015

    Stoke 0-0 Chelsea

It's not freezing Trevor, other parts of the BBC indicate it's 13 degrees in Stoke, and it'll be warmer in the stadium. Must be getting soft ;-)

    Everton 0-0 Norwich

We are still waiting for our first League Cup goal of the night and Wes Hoolahan almost gets it at Everton, but his drive is deflected just wide. Good start by the visitors, who are looking to respond after three successive defeats.

    Millwall 2-0 Doncaster

Darren Ferguson is a manager who believes in passing the ball out from the back - but he may want to have a rethink.

Doncaster goalkeeper Thorsten Stuckmann plays a goal-kick to a defender, who doesn't want it there, he is tackled by Steve Morison and he bundles the ball home.

    Get rid!

Oh and then Morison bullets in a cracking volley moments later! He's not had a night like this since he was dating one of the Sugababes...

First question of the night I would ask is why have Arsenal changed into a blue away kit at Blue and white striped Sheffield Wednesday? Any logic there?
