Judging by comments on Twitter, the Arsenal third kit is worse than the scoreline...

An incredibly straight-forward opening 45 minutes for Sheffield Wednesday but there is nothing simple about this scoreline for their fans.

Arsenal have had one shot of meaning and even that was two-to-three feet wide. Looking at Arsene Wenger's bench, he has defender Gabriel, Nacho Monreal, Keeper Matt Macey, and midfielders Kristian Bielik and Ben Sheaf to choose from.

It's hardly a stellar cast of game changers. The Hillsborough hoodoo? Remember Wenger is 19 years without a win here.

    Trevor Sinclair
Former England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

"Chelsea started the game really well, both full-backs were high up and forcing the issue. Chelsea have not had the rub of the green but if they keep playing like that then they will find a breakthrough.

"Eden Hazard has been absolutely superb - he excites you, is always looking to probe. He wants the ball, is dictating the play and dominating the opposition."

"It couldn't go any better for Wednesday. The game plan, 4-5-1, sit deep, catch them on the break or a set piece. The two goals game from those things.

"Arsene Wenger has to somehow raise his team and say 'can we create something.'"

You say that Phil, but Sheffield Wednesday have a 19-year-old in goal who has made a total of five appearances for the club. Arsenal, in contrast, started with the likes of Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

I'll say it now. Arsenal are not getting back into this. They look lethargic and uninterested.

  8. CLOSE!published at 20:33

    Stoke 0-0 Chelsea

Oh that should be 1-0 to Stoke. Mame Diouf sweeps a low ball into the middle of the box for Jon Walters, it is behind the striker but he catches it with his foot and shoots on the turn, but Asmir Begovic saves superbly.

Evan Watson: Dear Arsene Wenger, This is why buying more outfield players is always a good idea, as the injury bug always hits us hard

John Pierce: Arsenal don't like a trip to Yorkshire in the league cup, first Bradford now Wednesday.

Matt Andrews: Does this mean Sheffield Wednesday could beat Bayern 4-0? logic

No goals yet at Hull but the hosts are still pressing. Greg Luer cleverly lets a cross run through his legs to Mohamed Diame, but the defender is perhaps caught by surprise as he lashes well over.

    Sheff Wed 2-0 Arsenal

    Chris Waddle
BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra at Hillsborough

"I said before the game set pieces are a big part of Sheffield Wednesdays season so far. They work it well. It's a great header, Cech is rooted to the spot. What a game this is turning out to be.

"Arsenal are playing far too slow. At the minute there's nothing happening, Giroud is getting no service."

  15. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:26

    Stoke 0-0 Chelsea

John Terry shows the finishing skills of a striker, cheekily flicking in Willian's right-wing cross from inside the Stoke six-yard box. Unfortunately for the Chelsea skipper, he turns to see the lineman's flag wafting in the Britannia wind.

That encourages the travelling Blues support, who find their voice for a rousing rendition of 'Jose Mou-reeen-ihoooo'....

Big upset on the cards at Hillsborough as Championship Sheffield Wednesday double their lead. Ross Wallace, scorer of the opening goal, provides the assist as he swings a fine ball into the box and Lucas Joao rises to head home.

Good feet from Arsenal's Alex Iwobi as he bamboozles a defender but fizzes a shot into the sidenetting.

    Stoke 0-0 Chelsea

Loic Remy does indeed come on for Diego Costa and the change has momentarily disrupted Chelsea's flow as former Potters keeper Asmir Begovic is called upon to deal with a Stoke free-kick.

  20. Postpublished at 20:21

    Everton 0-0 Norwich

A good team move almost ends with a goal for Everton, but Romelu Lukaku can't apply the finishing touch. Norwich had a couple of decent early chances, but Everton look the better side at the moment.
