  1. Manager reaction - Pardewpublished at 17:10

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew looks as smug as you would imagine after his side beat Southampton in a thrilling Premier League game.

"We're exciting, we go forward, we commit players forward," said the Eagles boss.

"First half, we were the better team and maybe we should have had two goals. The second half we started well, we didn't score and then had to work hard. Our spirit was great and we saw a midfield masterclass from Yohan Cabaye.

"Our goalie Wayne Hennessey made two world-class saves today - the one at the end was the most important. That was the only mistake we made in the whole game."

  2. 'What did Van Gaal get for £250m?'published at 17:06

Bournemouth v Man Utd (17:30 GMT)

    John Hartson
Former Arsenal striker on BBC Radio 5 live

"The problem with Louis van Gaal is he’s had £250m to spend and he’s not brought in players capable of producing the football we’re used to seeing Manchester United play.

"What the fans are seeing is not good enough, they’re not seeing enough goals. I’m not anti-Man Utd, and I’m not a Man Utd fan, but we’re so used to seeing them at the very top, competing for trophies, and I have to say, he’s spent £250m and the recruitment's been nowhere near it."

  4. Player reactionpublished at 17:04

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton

Crystal Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye is grinning away in the bowels of Selhurst Park. Not surprising as he was the matchwinner for his team. He composes himself though to trot out some standard post-match fare.

"It was a tough game but we've done the job," says the France midfielder. "We played well and we stayed in a good shape to keep the result. The three points are very good for us.

"It is always difficult when you're 1-0 up and we needed Wayne Hennessey to make some good saves. We stayed strong and solid. We played well as a team. Our mentality is the same - we're all together."

  5. Euro 2016 drawpublished at 17:03

The live draw for Euro 2016 will be taking place soon. First, though, we're being "treated" to some dancing as part of Uefa's celebratory pre-amble. You can follow all that (plus the actual draw) via this live text with Gary Rose.

    Sunderland 0-1 Watford

    Jason Roberts
Former West Brom striker on Final Score

"Lots of noise about Deeney and Ighalo and the way they play, but from Sunderland's perspective how disappointing, This would have been a game they were targeting for a win."

  7. Player reactionpublished at 16:59

    West Ham 0-0 Stoke

West Ham playmaker Mauro Zarate looks like a shopper who has been drowned in the Christmas frenzy. The Argentine reckons the draw is not goo enough for the eighth-placed Hammers

"I think it s a bad result for us we need to win at home," he says. Wwe have to do better if we want to win. They created some chances int he second half and Adrian was really good but i think 0-0 was a normal result.

    Man City 2-1 Swansea

It says it all that the Man City announcer has just revealed the home man of the match to be Joe Hart. His saves kept the home side level for long periods. Ultimately, though, the game was won by a lucky deflected goal from Yaya Toure, which sends City top for now on goal difference. Cruel on Swansea and caretaker boss Alan Curtis. They played well and deserved a point.

    West Ham 0-0 Stoke

Everyone inside the Boleyn Ground breathes a sigh of relief. Time to get out of the cold and pretend that game never happened.

A point and three spots separates eight-placed West Ham from their visitors in the Premier League table.

  11. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:52

    Sunderland 0-1 Watford

Sunderland scrapped and fought and certainly had their chances, but they come away with nothing. In contrast, Watford march on thanks to Odion Ighalo's early goal. The Hornets are seventh.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:51

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton

All smiles at Selhurst Park as the home fans gleefully belt out the Dave Clark Five classic 'Glad All Over' after the final whistle. Palace are back up to sixth with that win, level on points with fifth-placed Spurs who host Newcastle tomorrow.

    Man City 2-1 Swansea

    John Hartson
Former Wales striker on Final Score

"Bafetimbi Gomis had done so well to get Swansea back level and then this goes and happens!

"It's a deflection but Yaya Toure cuts inside on his left foot and it goes over the keeper's head. Without the touch off the Swansea player, it's not going in."

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:51

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton

Into injury-time....and Southampton create a golden chance. Shane Long latches onto a loose ball, drives a firm half-volley goalwards but Wayne Hennessey stands tall to block. Game winner is that.

  15. Postpublished at 16:49

    West Ham 0-0 Stoke

Stoke almost steal a win. Mame Biram Diouf finds himself clear of the Hammers defence, after a peach of a throughball from Marko Arnautovic. But Hammers keeper Adrian is alert to smother.

    Yaya Toure

I'd barely finished writing about Gomis' equaliser, the Swansea bench had only just re-taken their seats, and City snatch back the lead. It relies on a huge stroke of luck as well as Yaya Toure's angled shot from the corner of the box hits the back of Kelechi Iheanacho and loops over Lukasz Fabianski and in to the far corner of the net. Cruel ion Swansea.

GOAL - Man City 1-1 Swanseapublished at 16:46

    Bafetimbi Gomis

Did you see that?! Swansea are level and it is nothing short of what they deserve. Federico Fernandez's superb pass from the back is perfect for Bafetimbi Gomis to latch on to, move into the box and smash a rising angled shot past Joe Hart and into the roof of the net. Man City shocked. Swansea jubilant.

Saints keeper Paulo Gazzaniga is called into action again. The Argentine pushes wide Connor Wickham's wicked shot, then produces a one-handed block from Yannick Bolaise's volley from the resulting corner. Saints hanging on...
