    Man City 1-0 Swansea

    John Hartson
Former Wales striker on Final Score

"Ashley Williams is holding his hands up, he lost Wilfried Bony, who heads it really low, after losing the Swansea captain with a bit of movement.

"It's not good defending and it's a shame, because the away side had been playing really well."

    West Ham 0-0 Stoke

What's happening at the Boleyn Ground? Little to be honest.

Hammers striker Michail Antonio is trying to make an impression on his first Premier League start for the home side, though. He races into the Stoke box but has little support and the chance goes begging.

    Wilfried Bony

Who else? Former Swansea man Wilfried Bony charges to the edge of the six-yard box to meet a corner unchallenged and hammer a header into the net. That'll settle City down after an unconvincing start. What will it do to a very vulnerable Swansea, though? #fearforswansea

    Man City 0-0 Swansea

City yet to get going at the Etihad. Cries of 'Come on City' echo around the ground. Swansea are digging in and denying any room around the box. Jesus Navas flights a free-kick into the box towards Nicolas Otamendi but he is beaten easily in the air Federico Fernandez.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:22

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Southampton

Not one great save. Not two great saves even. But three! The wind is whipping around Selhurst Park now and Paulo Gazzaniga, on his first Premier League start of the season, is almost caught by Yannick Bolasie's looping, curling shot.

The Argentine barely has time to get to his feet before having to block Yohan Cabaye;s stinging shot, then parry a close-range prod from Connor Wickham.

Only Gazzaniga is keeping Saints level at the moment.

    Sunderland 0-1 Watford

Fabio Borini comes within inches of an equaliser for Sunderland against Watford. A neat shimmy buys him space in the box but his low shot from a tight angle flies past the far post.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Southampton

The noise levels increase at Selhurst Park - but don't quite reach 'goal scored' on the decibel meter. Yohan Cabaye (one of the signings of the season?) fizzes a low free-kick through an army of bodies in the Saints box. But none of his Palace team-mates can nick a telling touch.

  8. Football League updatepublished at 15:17

Big early shenanigans at Huddersfield, who started the day 19th in the Championship, two points ahead of 21st-placed Bristol City.

Jonathan Kodjia has given City the lead, while Huddersfield's Emyr Huws has has a penalty saved by Frank Fielding.

In League Two, Newport, unbeaten in their previous 10, are already 2-0 up at Notts County.

  9. Postpublished at 15:16

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Southampton

Southampton are pumping men forward as they look to bag the opener. Cedric Soares flies down the right flank, pinging in a lovely cross towards his lime green-shirted comrades. Oriol Romeu appears to have his run blocked by the arm of a Palace defender before the home side clear. Even steven at the moment.

  10. Postpublished at 15:15

    Man City 0-0 Swansea

Joe Hart is earning his pay this afternoon. Wayne Routledge gets in round the back and pulls the ball back for Gylfi Sigurdsson, but his shot is palmed over by the City keeper. Encouraging start from Swansea.

    West Ham 0-0 Stoke

If this was an arm wrestle then Stoke would be heaving away from the table and back into the middle. Ibrahim Afellay skips into the right side of the Hammers box and cuts back to Marco van Ginkel, via Bojan. But Van Ginkel's effort is scruffier than a dishevelled member of a punk band. He bounds the ball into the turf and past the wrong side of the post from eight yards out.

    Sunderland 0-1 Watford

I can only imagine the furious speed with which Sam Allardyce is chewing his gum now. I imagine if you hooked his jaw up now it could power the floodlights. The defending for Ighalo's opener was truly appalling. And it is a mixture of sublime and ridiculous as a Black Cats defender dives in to stop an Odion Ighalo angled shot crossing the line before Jose Manuel Jurado strikes the post with an effort from just inside the box.

    Sunderland 0-1 Watford

    John Hartson
Former Wales striker on BBC Two

"Not what Sunderland needed at all. There had been a feel good factor around the club before today - they've been difficult to score past in recent matches - but they've conceded one already. Perfect start for Watford though."

Odion Ighalo (26) and Troy Deeney (17) have scored 43 league goals combined in 2015; 11 more than Sunderland have overall this year (32).

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Southampton

As we suspected, our Saints team graphic (see 14:54) is horrendously wrong. Ronald Koeman has gone for a 3-5-2 formation today, but none of his three centre-backs can deal with a wicked right-wing cross down the corridor of uncertainty between keeper and defence. Luckily for the visitors, right wing-back Cedric Soares is alert at the back stick to hack out for a corner. Safety first.

    Man City 0-0 Swansea

First chance at the Etihad goes to Alan Curtis' Swansea, with Wayne Routledge breaking clear and running in on goal. He is denied by a smart save from Joe Hart. This rain is doing nothing for the keeper's hair. Still, at least it is dandruff-free.

  17. Postpublished at 15:06

    Sunderland 0-1 Watford

    Jason Roberts
Former West Brom striker on Final Score

"It's a good finish, he just ghosts in. It was like a training ground goal, Ighalo makes a good move across Coates and though it almost looks like an own goal, he just gets their first."

  18. Postpublished at 15:05

    West Ham 0-0 Stoke

Can Stoke replicate that wonderful, high-energy display that stunned Manchester City last week? Not yet. West Ham have raced out of the blocks, already forcing Potters keeper Jack Butland into a couple of smart saves. Earned his corn this season has that lad.
