Wales manager Chris Coleman: "When you become the most expensive player in the world and play for Real Madrid it becomes normal for teams to pay you a lot of attention. Gareth Bale is used to it. 

"He is used to having the eyes of the world on him and he is looking forward to it. I expect everyone we play against to show him attention.

Wales manager Chris Coleman: "Joe Ledley, to get to where he is, has done a fantastic job. He has always been in my consideration. He brings a lot to the group, on and off the pitch. 

"I am not giving anything away at the moment but he is available, whether that is starting or coming off the bench."

And that's the end of the chat from England boss Roy Hodgson and captain Wayne Rooney. On Saturday, the England players and their boots, as well as Joe Hart's gloves, will have to do that talking.

England manager Roy Hodgson: "Tomorrow evening cannot come soon enough. I know Russia well enough. We know their names and have some idea of their qualities. 

"We have a lot of respect to the Russian team. They have been used to playing together for a long time."

"But this is the gang that got us to the tournament because they were consistent and hard working, with a splash of brilliance. Our core values are we are difficult to play against and hard to beat."

England captain Wayne Rooney: "My favourite position is being on the pitch. Our ambition is to do as well as can and try and win it. 

"We believe we have a good squad and have the quality to do really well. We just want to get going now."
