Marcus Rashford is the youngest player to play at the Euros for England (18y 228d), four days younger than Wayne Rooney in 2004 (v France). He is the fifth youngest overall to appear in the tournament’s history.

Kyle Walker was the Uefa man of the match today. If you'd have guessed a year ago that Walker would be man of the match in a team that contained Dele Alli, Marcus Rashford, Eric Dier and Jamie Vardy you'd be doing well...

Plenty of praise for official man of the match Kyle Walker, who made 43 of his 47 passes in the opposition half. Ex-England defender Rio Ferdinand called him a "machine" while former Wales striker Dean Saunders described him as an "Olympic athlete".

England boss Roy Hodgson: "It is amazing. We played so well against Russia and conceded in the 93rd minute and today we worked so hard in the second half and pushed and pushed and then scored in the 92nd minute, I suppose it shows things do even out but it is rare to see them even out in the space of two games.

"If I had been watching from afar and not been with England and watching Wales play some other opponent I would have felt very sorry for them but they will have to excuse me not feeling sorry for them because I want to be pleased with ourselves." 

On the half-time changes: "We thought a lot about what the starting 11 should be but I didn't want to start breaking eggs with a big stick. I thought I would keep one or two up my sleeve. I was kind of counting on us seeing out the first half and then making a change but the goal meant it was pushed on to me a bit. I was always in our thoughts to bring on Vardy and Sturridge and then bring on Wilshere or Rashford when we were looking for a goal."

England manager Roy Hodgson tells 5 live about the contrast in emotion from Saturday's draw in Marseille to today's win: "It's certainly two different ends to the spectrum. It's a long time since myself and the coaching staff have showed such joy at a goal. That's because that goal the other night put us under a bit of pressure.

"When the chances don't go in and you've compounded your task by conceding that Gareth Bale goal, it really is a happy moment when both the substitutes score.

"I thought it was on the cards all the way through the second half."

On his half-time team talk: "I thought we were doing OK but I thought there were other aspects of our game which we could bring to the game. In the second half it was much more aggressive in terms of our attacking play. We were in a hair's breath so many times but it took until the 92nd minute. 

"I have great empathy with Chris and the Welsh team because he must have been looking at a good draw. He will be today as I was on Saturday night."

I said at half-time Roy Hodgson's neck was on the line so he was within his rights to tell those who started that their time was up and put new people on. He put more bodies up front, and the guys who came on made an impact.

Wales boss Chris Coleman: "A point for us would have fantastic. They are a very good team, very strong. Congrats to Roy, he made some good substitutions and we knew they would push us back. Most of the time we looked quite strong and although they had a lot of possession I wasn't that worried.

"The guys showed great heart. They stuck into the game and with 60 seconds remaining, to give up that point we worked so hard for, we are gutted but we have to move on. We are here to get through to the last 16. If you are from Wales, you always looked at this game because it is England but for me it is the middle game of three. We move on and have to show a reaction against Russia.

"When you are bringing on the likes of Vardy and Sturridge and Sterling and Kane are going off, they are top players. We knew that it would be tough, it was a good old fashioned derby. They had been on such a good run coming into this tournament, we knew they would be disappointed after a point against Russia and they would come on strong. It wasn't to be in the end."

If you look at Kyle Walker's pace and intensity, he is like a machine. He puts the opposition full-back under pressure. He asks whether you are ready to run with me and if not, he will motor past you.

There might be questions on how he plays in his own third, but as for when you are on the front foot, I don't think there are many better in the world. He is like a winger.

Wales captain Ashley Williams: "It is tough for everybody obviously but we have another game on Monday and it is a quick turnaround so we won't get down about it. It hurts obviously, we were close to getting a point but we didn't but we will get over it.

"You haven't done enough until the final whistle blows. We've seen late goals in this tournament, it wasn't that we switched off, it was just one of those things.

"It will be fine. A few of us have spoken, the manager has spoken, we will regroup and get over it. At the end of the day we have three points from two games and we will focus on the next game and getting out of the group."

England midfielder Adam Lallana: "These are the games you want to be playing in. We said before the game kicked off we would need everyone one of the 23 men in the squad and today showed that.

"The pitch was a bit dry and we said at half time we maybe need to quicken things up a bit, a few more combinations and we got the goal and kept plugging away. After conceding late against Russia it was nice to get one in the last minute.

"It is everyone's job to build it up. England versus Wales is a massive occasion. We just want to do our talking on the pitch. It's nice to come out on top."

Knowing a few guys in the changing room, Wales can't be too despondent. They still have a chance to qualify. I saw Ashley Williams speak to the players at the end and he will be saying that they showed a lot of effort on the pitch, but we can still get through.

"I'm hoping that Joe Ledley has not damaged his leg again.

"They fought, the commitment was there from everyone, England just had too much class. We've got to get our chins up, that's why it was so important to win the first game."

England forward Wayne Rooney: "First half we did OK but have to move the ball quicker. The manager made some positive changes and it paid off for us. We kept the ball well and kept probing and got the goal in the end.

"We know as a group of players we are not just an 11-man team, we have a full squad here and it shows just what a good squad we have. It was a great feeling to win the game like we did, it will almost qualify us now and we have to win the game on Monday.

"It was a great win, but a fully deserved one."

On Marcus Rashford: "Marcus will be delighted. I am really pleased for him. I think it was 112 days ago he made his debut for Manchester United and now he is playing on the biggest stage so I am really pleased for him."
