Daran Philipson: Not happy with Roy Hodgson, the team was just starting to look settled, especially the back four.
George Harrold: Happy to see Vardy & Sturridge replace Kane & Sterling. The fullbacks are good enough, but a little worried with the midfield.
Tom McCarron: All those claiming that Rooney should be dropped before the tournament are suddenly bricking it now it's a reality.

I don't like the fact Wayne Rooney isn't playing, he has to play regularly. A break doesn't suit Wayne Rooney. He loses touch and he won't play for 11 days if he doesn't come on.
I do worry the gap can affect a player. I take you back to the 2000 Uefa Cup final. Myself and Ray Parlour played on the Saturday and everyone else had 10 days off. Arsene Wenger said it was the biggest mistake he ever made. Players switch off mentally and I think Wayne is a player who loses condition quickly.

It feels like a long time since Jack Wilshere had his best game in an England shirt - just over a year in fact when he scored twice in a win in Slovenia.
Can tonight see Wilshere back to his best? He hasn't played many games this season. At all.

Let's look positively at the team selection. We have got 23 very good players and I like to see a manager trusting his players. There are too many tournament where teams go and don't use players.
It is a huge gamble don't get me wrong. We need to win for that easier passage.
Players going to tournaments and not playing? Keown is talking from experience. 1998 World Cup? He's not bitter.

It seems that the opinion of nearly everyone on social media is that England are making a big gamble...

I'm still worried about square pegs in round holes. Are we sure Daniel Sturridge is going to play on the right? I'm not so sure.

Slovakia beat Russia last time out and manager Jan Kozak decides to stick with the same starting XI. Midfielder Marek Hamsik will be high on England's list of players to keep an eye on.
England make the six changes that had been reported. In come right-back Nathaniel Clyne, left-back Ryan Bertrand, midfielders Jordan Henderson and Jack Wilshere as well as strikers Daniel Sturridge and Jamie Vardy. Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Wayne Rooney, Dele Alli, Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane make way. I'm not sure the last two have been rested but the others seem to have been. Do you agree?

The stadium is starting to fill up with fans of both sides...
We're not sure who this guy's supporting though...
Russia v Wales (20:00 BST)
We have had confirmation that striker Sam Vokes starts in place of Hal Robson-Kanu as Wales' only change from Thursday's 2-1 defeat against England.
It is a big call from manager Chris Coleman, who might have doubts over Robson-Kanu's ability to play two matches in quick succession having only recently recovered from injury.
Wales XI: Hennessey; Gunter, Chester, Williams, Davies, Taylor; Allen, Ledley, Ramsey; Bale; Vokes.

Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Wayne Rooney does not have a hamstring injury, as had been earlier suggested. He is just being rested. Rotated. Call it what you will.

Mark: Risky Roy! Six changes & resting players..surely more important to qualify and win group for easier draw? Slovakia wont be easy!
Jason Skarratts: All players itching to prove a point, keeps the team fresh, I would have liked to see Barkley and Stones though, team has good shape.
Sean Brookes: Risky making so many changes but genius if we get the win. Getting more players involved whilst resting others.

Quality not quantity. That was very much the story behind Jamie Vardy's game-changing 45-minute appearance against Wales.
The England striker only managed seven touches in the entire half. But one came when he hooked in the equaliser and another in the build-up to Daniel Sturridge's winner. That's what he was brought on to do.

Just 60 minutes until England's final group game of Euro 2016 then. Their fans will hope that is not their final game full stop.
A reminder that Roy Hodgson's side need a point to secure their progress to the last 16.
Euro 2016 seems to be the tournament of late goals, with 13 scored in the 87th minute or later, five of those winners, three equalisers and Northern Ireland's Niall McGinn setting the record for latest goal ever in a European Championship at 96 minutes.

Ben Parsons: Tournament football is all about momentum. Surely changes and resting players is detrimental.
Rob Kempton: So if England win tonight does Roy stay with this 11 for the next? #Ain'tbrokedon'tfix
Paul Gourley: That's the worst team yet for England, half those players wouldn't even get a game for #GAWA
