    Slovakia 0-0 England

Wales could be four up - they are thrashing Russia - so England need to find a goal or two if they want to top Group B. They are playing well, just lacking that killer touch at the moment.

    Slovakia 0-0 England

Gary Cahill isn't fit, he's struggling with a hip injury and John Stones is warming up. England then find a great ball down their right, Nathaniel Clyne can't quite find a cross into the middle though. At the second attempt Slovakia keeper Matus Kozacik has to punch one away.

    England looking dangerous.

I think with a bit more confidence and belief England could really go for this. If they get one Slovakia could crumble.

Here's the current Group B table. But remember the three most important words in football - AS IT STANDS. Only another 65 minutes for it all to change...

Jeers and whistles as England keep the ball for a lengthy period, slowing the game down, they come down their right and Nathaniel Clyne wins a corner. Good, controlled play.

England give the ball away sloppily on a couple of occasions, they haven't got back up to speed after that double injury stoppage.

They can't live with Jamie Vardy, he hares past his man and is fouled and that's a booking for Viktor Pecovsky.

As it stands, Wales will win Group B and England will join them.

That news from Toulouse is a clear incentive for England to win now. That's the only way they will keep Wales at bay.

Daniel Sturridge has the ball in a dangerous area for England but he loses the ball. Move breaks down. Exciting game.

Gary Cahill was fine to continue by the way, as is right-back Peter Pekarik.

Slovakia barely had a kick in the opening 10 minutes, but they are wrestling their way back into the match. Possession? Even. Territory? Even.

England's fans are taking up great swathes of the Stade Geoffroy Guichard here in Saint-Etienne and they are watching Roy Hodgson's side make a promising start.

They need to make more of the possession they are enjoying and that was a great chance for Jamie Vardy breaking clear.

Those fans will be keeping an eye how Wales are faring. They are currently topping this group as they lead Russia convincingly.

Russia aren't very good are they?

DREAMLAND for Wales though as left wing-back Neil Taylor is given the freedom of the penalty area to score at the second attempt!

It's the Slovakian right-back Peter Pekarik who is having treatment. He took a right whack.

Ryan Bertrand draws blood as he goes up for a header and he's lucky not to get booked at least there. England have another problem as Gary Cahill is down with an injury.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 17 mins

    Slovakia 0-0 England

Play to your strengths! England can just punt a ball over the top and Jamie Vardy has Martin Skrtel on toast. He flies past him, easily, and reaches the bouncing ball just inside the penalty area but his first-time left-footed effort cannons into the chest of Matus Kozacik.

Expect a few more balls over the top...

Another bright England attack as Adam Lallana finds space on the left, he puts in an early cross and he has bodies in the box. Jordan Henderson is at the far post, he brings it down but his effort is blocked away for a corner.

To answer the earlier question, Ryan Bertrand takes it - but it comes to nothing...

Adam Lallana has got great feet, but he should make more goals and make more things happen. He snatches at this shot. He doesn't have that composure in front of goal.

Then Marek Hamsik got away. Slovakia do carry a threat. England's tempo is good but sometimes I think we go too narrow.

Marek Hamsik spells danger as he comes down the left but his cross is overcooked and Joe Hart can watch it bounce through out of play.

That goal for Wales means England are second in the group as it stands. They have started well though and Adam Lallana drags a shot wide from the D after a neat passing move.
