A familiar tale for England in Euro 2016 so far. Plenty of possession and a few chances - but a struggle to break through.
Slovakia are stubborn but England are clearly superior. There is an increasing urgency about their situation with Wales dominating Russia and a place at the top of the group at stake.

Matthew: Jack Wilshere. It's almost like watching a player who has only played 141 minutes of football in the past 10 months isn't it?
LFC: Just like the Russia game, England dominant and should be ahead. Instead go in at the break 0-0.
Chris Harvey: For me only Spain have played better football in this tournament than England. We are serious contenders.
Slovakia 0-0 England
Slovakia 0-0 England
Slovakia 0-0 England
England will rummaging around in the kit bag for a groundsheet soon. They are camped in the Slovakia half! Our average position graphic shows how Slovakia's players (left) have barely broke free from their own half, while England have been on the front foot.
Russia 0-2 Wales
What a half for Wales!
Brilliant stuff. They are going through as group winners as it stands.
Slovakia 0-0 England
England dominant, looking good for the most part, but not ahead.

Durica knew nothing about it! It hit him flush in the face. But again England have success from getting the ball wide and into the box.
Slovakia 0-0 England
What a block! England cross well twice from either side and the second one ends with Jordan Henderson lashing in a shot on the bounce, it looks on target but Jan Durica is almost knocked out by a stunning block. He threw himself at the ball!

Daniel Kelly: The only thing England have done wrong so far is not score.
Farai: It becomes painful to watch when England have so much possession but are failing to put that ball in the net.....
Pete Barton: Worried that we could end up in third place. I need a goal so I can calm down!
Slovakia 0-0 England
Jamie Vardy wins the ball back high up the pitch and Juraj Kucka does the clever thing and rugby tackles him to the ground! No booking?! Lucky boy...
Slovakia 0-0 England
England are winning 8-1 - in the shots-at-goal column at least. Slovakia, as you can see in our left-hand graphic, have managed just one wild off-target shot by Viktor Pecovsky. England have peppered the Slovakian goal, but only Jamie Vardy (11) and Adam Lallana (8) have warmed keeper Matus Kozacik's palms.
Slovakia 0-0 England
What a pass! Eric Dier sweeps the ball 60 yards downfield into the run of Daniel Sturridge, whose touch is magnificent and he earns a corner. Jordan Henderson's ball in is dealt with but Daniel Sturridge almost finds a team-mate at the near post. Every attack carries real threat for England.
But Slovakia counter sharply and Robert Mak almost gets clear. Ryan Bertrand just does enough...

England poor again. With clearly superior players, our best and only chance came via a long ball. Hodgson, the tactical genius

Slovakia 0-0 England
If England can get the goal they deserve then Roy Hodgson's team selection won't be the big talking point. England have played well without scoring. In every first half of this tournament so far...
Slovakia 0-0 England
Adam Lallana is having a very busy half, he's everywhere across that front line. He finds Jack Wilshere with a clever pass but the Arsenal man can't bring it in.
Slovakia 0-0 England

England have got to make this pressure count. They have played well and played on the front foot. They have created opportunities. You have to score when you're on top because undoubtedly, at some point, Slovakia will get a chance.
Slovakia 0-0 England
Nathaniel Clyne has carried on from where Kyle Walker left off, England bombing down their right time and again. Clyne pulls the ball back to Liverpool team-mate Adam Lallana and his powerful drive is pushed away by Matus Kozacik! Straight at him, but hard.

Gary Cahill pulled up and grimaced. He is not walking freely. That right hip is a real concern and John Stones is going through his paces.
