Substitute Hallam Hope snuffs out an Everton pass and launches the ball forward for Derek Asmaoah to chase. He does just that and races into the area before his shot is deflected behind.

First chance of the second half falls to Everton as Tom Cleverley tees up Ross Barkley 25 yards from goal. The midfielder has a pop, but swipes his effort harmlessly wide.

Everton are still very much in control, playing some neat, quick passing. 

Arouna Kone chests down a floated pass from James McCarthy and turns towards goal, but a sly pull on the shirt of a Carlisle defender is spotted and the home side have a free kick.
