Carlisle 0-2 Everton
Right. Carlisle. Seriously, stick a couple of players on Aaron Lennon. He is absolutely running the show. He is dropping into spaces and dictating play with ease. Carlisle cannot get near the ball.

Another chance for Everton as they win a free-kick in a decent position. Ross Barkley fancies it, bending the ball around the wall but wide.
Carlisle need to settle down. Everton are firmly in control.

"Just spoke about Carlisle switching off. A lovely little one-two around the box, a cut back and a a simple little tap in for Aaron Lennon. Carlisle need to be really, really worried about this now."

Oh dear.
This could be a torrid afternoon for Carlisle as Everton double their lead and it is Aaron Lennon who grabs the second.
It is far too easy again, though, as Bryan Oviedo crosses in low from the left and Lennon taps in.
Pretty much a carbon copy of the opener, but from the other side of the pitch.

Carlisle defender Mark Ellis could be in for a busy afternoon dealing with Aaron Lennon. The Everton forward has been lively in these early stages, his pace causing problems, and he tees up Bryan Oviedo, who has loads of space 25 yards from goal. He has a go. Wide.

"The only problems for Everton so far have been their own mistakes. The two centre backs have given the ball away in dodgy positions and it's allowed Carlisle to push up the pitch."
Carlisle 0-1 Everton
Everton have got themselves in the ideal position with that early goal, but they are in danger of shooting themselves in the foot in this game as another defensive lapse lets Derek Asamoah in again.
This time, the Toffees defence fails to deal with a high ball over the top and Asamoah nips in, getting his shot on target but Joel Robles saves.
Carlisle 0-1 Everton
That goal has certainly dampened the mood around Brunton Park, which was bouncing optimistically for the two minutes between kick off and Everton's goal.
A good response from the hosts, though, as Derek Asamoah pounces on a defensive error just outside the Everton box but it is too eager with his shot and fires wide.
How old is Asamoah? Seems to have been around for ages.

"We talked about trusting your fringe players and Kone gets in the box and has a tap in. Lennon's movement is sensational. Carlisle are playing three at the back and there is space down the sides. The pace of Lennon caused all sorts of problems."
Carlisle 0-1 Everton
Hang on, this was not in the FA Cup upset script.
Everton, with their first attack, take the lead and it's simple stuff as Aaron Lennon races down the right and crosses low for Arouna Kone to tap in.

Everton get this game up and running. Can Carlisle - the lowest ranked team let in the FA Cup - cause an upset?

Credit to Carlisle, the resurfaced pitch looks fantastic as the players go through their pre-match warm-ups.
A good crowd at Brunton Park and the atmosphere is building. Just over 10 minutes until kick off.
Cheers Rob. I can confirm it is wet, miserable and cold here. Humph.
