There's also a place at Wembley up for grabs in the JPT as Oxford hold a 2-0 lead over Millwall...

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini speaks to BBC Sport and starts on the issue of his side reacting to the news he will leave the club in the summer.

"The most important thing is the game tonight," says Pellegrini ahead of his 100th Premier League game. "It is very important to keep fighting for the Premier League. All our mind is focused just on the game."

On Kelechi Iheanacho's starting place: "It is not a reward. As a manager you must think what is the best XI to start, he is in a very good moment. It's good for him to play again."

  7. Championship previewpublished at 19:16 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2016

There are four games in the Championship this evening, with third-placed Burnley looking to close in on the top two with a fourth-straight win at Sheffield Wednesday. Wednesday, on the other hand, can move into the play-offs with the points.

Derby, who are without a league win since Boxing Day and are in danger of blowing their automatic promotion chances, host Preston while Ipswich will hope to climb back into the top six with a win at home to Reading.

Bottom-of-the-league Bolton, who are five points adrift of safety, need to start winning games fast. They have a tough ask tonight away at Wolves.

West Brom v Swansea (20:00 GMT)

West Brom make five changes from the side that drew with Peterborough United in the FA Cup.

Midfielder Sandro makes his debut after his move from QPR and Darren Fletcher returns from a knee injury. But Saido Berahino's dead leg keeps him on the bench a day after the Albion turned down a £22m offer from Newcastle for the striker.

Swansea are unchanged from their last outing - a 2-1 win over Everton. But there's a new face on the bench, as striker Alberto Paloschi is named in the squad after his move from Chievo.

Sunderland v Man City (19:45 GMT)

    Manchester City

Everton boss Roberto Martinez was singing Pep Guardiola's praises earlier today: "Guardiola is one the best managers in world football and I don't think we are discovering anything by saying that. It's going to be fantastic for the league. He's going to bring a very successful football philosophy, without a doubt he'll affect a lot young coaches and managers in the country, he'll bring a completely different tactical approach in the British game.

"Obviously he's Catalan and I should know that very well - I know exactly what he is as a person, as a winner. He's got an attention to detail that's very different  from any other manager. But I think now is the time to be respectful to Manuel Pellegrini - he's fighting in every single competition - and I'm sure there will be enough time to talk about the new manager in he summer."

    The game-changer?

Undoubtedly the big news yesterday was not a player arriving, but a boss.

And Pep Guardiola will "change the mindset of English football" as Manchester City manager, his father has told BBC Sport.

The 45-year-old will replace Manuel Pellegrini in June after agreeing a three-year deal at the Etihad.

"He will look to carry on the football of his Barcelona and Bayern teams," Valenti Guardiola said of his son.

Spaniard Guardiola won 14 trophies in four years at Barcelona, including two Champions Leagues, before taking a year out of management and then joining Bayern Munich in 2013.

  20. 'Pivotal but not decisive'published at 19:04 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2016

    Arsenal v Southampton (19:45 GMT)

    Guy Mowbray
BBC Match of the Day commentator

"'Pivotal but not decisive' is how Arsene Wenger has described February, a month in which his Gunners play four Premier League games plus Hull and Barcelona.

"Three games without a win in the league saw them fall off the top last month, but the returns from injury of Francis Coquelin and Alexis Sanchez have countered any falling spirits.

"Keeping Sanchez fit is essential to Arsenal's title bid, and whilst he's sure to test Saints' run of three wins AND clean sheets since Fraser Forster returned to their goal, Ronald Koeman can look with confidence to his own team's attacking threat.

"They put four past Arsenal on Boxing Day, and now have extra Austin powers. £4m? Oh, behave!"
