    Martinez makes his move

Who's got the best dancefloor moves in the Premier League?

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has been spotted dancing the night away at a concert in Manchester.

Mobile phone footage of the Toffees boss showing off a series of slick moves at the Jason Derulo gig has been shared thousands of times on Twitter.

Martinez later confirmed he was at the event and said he was a "big fan" of the American pop star.

And he said: "I have better moves, believe me. Probably that [seen on the video] was the worst move."

    Watch him in action here.

  2. The Chinese waypublished at 10:30 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2016

The recent English transfer deadline passed with barely a whimper. But over in China they mean serious business, and I mean serious. In the space of 10 days, the country's transfer deadline has been broken three times, with Ramires signing for Jiangsu Suning for £25m, before Jackson Martinez's £31m move to Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao and then Jiangsu Suning going heavy again by spending £38.4m on Alex Teixeira.

    So why the sudden spending?

According to Rowan Simons, a Beijing-based football reporter, interest and investment in football has been "growing for five years".

"President Xi is a big football fan," Simons told BBC World. "There has been a huge and unprecedented football revolution in China led by him, which has turned the game on its head."

"It was seen that football was only useful if it was carried on into a profession. It's no longer just seen as a profession. It's an incredible transformation."

Matt, from York:  In 1990, after an hour-and-a-half drive from Sedbergh, we turned up for an under 14's away cup match at a school 10 times the size of ours in Barrow, to be greeted by sixth formers rocking the mini bus with threats of what may happen if we won. We lost 6-1.

Daniel Schofield: On a trip from Stockport to Swindon, the coach ahead radioed to say police were ahead searching coaches. Queue the announcement that the coach would pull over for 10 minutes for us to throw as much of our remaining booze down our necks as we could before ditching the rest. Spent the rest of the journey trying to keep down three rapidly swigged cans.

"Pep Guardiola going to Manchester City was the worst kept secret in football. Manuel Pellegrini has handled himself with great dignity. The players will feel they owe him one. Will things change psychologically if he knows he is not going to be there next season?

"I think they will win three trophies this year. I think they can make it to the semi-finals of the Champions League."

    Mourinho to Man Utd?

    Manchester United

Jose Mourinho has never hidden his admiration for Manchester United, and particularly their legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Speaking before taking his Inter Milan side to Old Trafford for a Champions League last-16 tie in 2009, he said: "I want to face the best and United are a team of champions with a super coach in Alex Ferguson."

But after being linked with the manager's job following the departure of Ferguson in 2013, he declared his allegiance to Chelsea.

"I would have turned down every job in the world - the Manchester United job, every one - for Chelsea," he said.

There were reports last month that Mourinho had written a six-page letter outlining his suitability for the United role, but that was dismissed as "absurd" by his agent.

    Liverpool

Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre has urged fans to "look at the facts" before taking part in a walkout protest about next season's ticket prices.

A supporters' group wants fans to leave their seats in the 77th minute of Saturday's home game against Sunderland in protest at the £77 top-priced ticket in the new main stand next term.

Ayre highlighted that 64% of season ticket prices will decrease or freeze.

"No-one is being priced out of the stadium," he said.

"There is a seat for everyone at the right price."

  10. 'TV cash will not cut ticket prices'published at 10:11 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2016

It is the talking point that will never go away: ticket prices, and how much is too much? Supporters had hoped that the new Premier League TV deal would mean a reduction in ticket prices, but Arsene Wenger thinks that is just wishful thinking.

At his news conference on Friday, the Arsenal boss said: "What will happen is the prices of the players will go up and you will need this supplement of money coming in to buy new players.

"I believe that the pressure on spending the money will become bigger and you cannot necessarily distribute the money to other people."

Will, from Oxford: A couple of points regarding Mourinho to United... Firstly, he will not want to come second to a Pep Guardiola again like he was in Spain. Therefore he won't sign unless already given a green light for a huge squad overhaul in the summer. Secondly, are Utd fans really happy to get rid of one bore draw tactician for another, albeit arguably better, one?

It is widely assumed the most obvious alternative to Jose Mourinho is Ryan Giggs, Louis van Gaal's assistant.

The Welshman, who joined Manchester United aged 14, made a record 963 appearances for the club and won 13 Premier League titles.

The 42-year-old took over as manager on an interim basis in April 2014 following the sacking of David Moyes.

Although he has not spoken about the United job since Van Gaal took over, it would be a surprise were he not interested in replacing the Dutchman should the opportunity arise.

However, while Giggs was happy to further his education under Van Gaal, he is unlikely to be as willing to work with Mourinho.

Jordan MacDonald on a train somewhere in Scotland:  Was on my way to Newcastle on the coach from Dundee to see a game against Liverpool. A man gets up and steps into the toilet. About five minutes later we all hear a loud thud and a cry of anguish. The poor man had stumbled and put his hand in the toilet and well you can guess...

Gavin Mckindley: The last time Everton won at Stamford Bridge, Fa Cup 4th round, 2011, knocked them out on pens and when our bus drove past a Chelsea pub after the game, the pub emptied onto the street to throw bottles and pint glasses at our mini-bus, had to drive home with a window missing, London to Liverpool, freezing.
