"I think they should. Quite a few teams have come out and frozen season tickets for next season and rightly so because they are going to price out normal fans.
"You don’t want that because without fans what is football?"
Kevin Kilbane
Ex-Everton and Republic of Ireland winger on Football Focus
"This has spread throughout football. You go to watch games and it is expensive. This statement that Liverpool fans have made has sent reverberations throughout football and clubs are taking notice now."

Snoods and gloves out in force at the Stadium of Light as hailstones hammer down while the players go through their warm ups. A very wintry five degrees at the moment in the north east.

Cheers Caroline.
Just watching the managers arrive at the Stadium of Light and Sam Allardyce has hands down won the first battle today, that of the best dressed manager. Big Sam looking sharp below.
Standard attire for Louis van Gaal, who is proudly showing off his famed folder. I would love to know what is in there.
I've taken you as far as I can.
But fear not, I'll leave you in the safe hands of Gary Rose for the remainder of the afternoon.
Enjoy the show.

Your reaction to Sunderland v Man Utd team news:
Demola Oke: Such a weak Man Utd bench, no game changers.. after over £250m spent, that's quite depressing.
David Barber: It has become a sad state of affairs when I cant say, with confidence, that Man Utd will beat Sunderland.
James Ballantyne: Bench looking weak, and valentine's themed. Does LVG need the love?

Sunderland v Manchester United (12:45 GMT)
Guy Mowbray
BBC Match of the Day commentator
"Sunderland showed great resolve in fighting back for a point at Anfield last week, and they'll have to dig deep again against a United side that seems to have got its mojo back.
"Since losing dismally against Southampton, Louis van Gaal's team have produced three infinitely more impressive displays that they must continue to replicate to have a chance of the top four place they want and he needs.
"When the managers last met a year ago, Sam Allardyce irked his counterpart with the suggestion that United "threw long balls in the box" to grab a draw late on at West Ham.
"Compared to what's upset Van Gaal since, it looks a storm in a teacup now."

"This is an opportunity Bournemouth must grasp. A victory could take them eight points clear of the relegation positions and within three wins of the 40-point traditional safety mark.
"Stoke are on the brink of their worst league run in four years. They're suffering their worst top-flight scoring drought in 31 years. The Cherries have to take advantage.
"Mark Hughes simply won't allow Stoke's season to peter out after their double cup knockout blow last month. But without Ryan Shawcross, external they lack defensive cohesion.
"With Benik Afobe looking dangerous after his January move, I can see a lively Bournemouth start and a home victory."
Bournemouth v Stoke (15:00 GMT)

Will they get off to a decent start?
