    Graeme Le Saux
Former Chelsea left-back on Match of the Day

"We have a decent cup tie here. Chelsea are dominating possession and the flow to their game is excellent. I have been very impressed with left-back Baba Rahman and he has got forward.

"In possession, City look confident and positive. When they win the ball, the two strikers are close to each other. They need more possession though and make it count when they do."

Chelsea finished that half well on top, but can they build on that in the second half?

Former Liverpool manager on Match of the Day

    Brendan Rodgers

"I think Manchester City have done really well and have set up to close the pitch, They are keeping it compact. You want one of your two strikers to drop in to Jon Obi Mikel or Cesc Fabregas but as a striker you can only go so far back. Their reaction to coming back to falling behind was very good."

  5. Spurs knocked outpublished at 16:56 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2016

    Tottenham 0-1 Crystal Palace

A shock in one of the other FA Cup games today as Tottenham, second in the Premier League, have been knocked out by Crystal Palace.

You can read about how Palace pulled it off here.

Diego Costa doesn't miss from there.

Lovely work from Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard in the build-up.

    Fabregas

"Cesc Fabregas is pulling all the strings for Chelsea. What a pass for Chelsea's opener. When City haven't got the ball, one of their young strikers has to drop deep. That is a bit of their inexperience."

Thoughts on the first 45 minutes?

Impressed by Tosin Adarabioyo and David Faupala. Neither have looked out of place against a strong Chelsea side. Bersant Celina has been a tad disappointing given the rave reports about him.

Best player on the pitch is arguably Cesc Fabregas for me. He's displaying some great vision at times.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 16:48 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2016

    Chelsea 1-1 Man City

Chelsea have a corner. Last chance? No, the Blues are deemed to have taken too long to take it and the whistle goes for half-time, much to Branislav Ivanovic's annoyance after he had trudged up from his own half.

Disappointing scenes a little earlier as the referee was seen picking up objects by the corner flag after Manchester City's equaliser.

We are into two minutes of added on time, time for someone to grab another?

    Chelsea 1-1 Man City

Tosin Adarabioyo sticks out a boot to deflect Pedro's shot behind. Chelsea corner, which Willian takes but City head clear.

  12. Man City's kids are doing all rightpublished at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2016

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Manuel Pellegrini has given Manchester City's youngsters their chance and they were acquitting themselves well even before David Faupala equalised Diego Costa's opener.

And judging by Pellegrini's celebration he is right up for this, despite the questions that may come away about his below-strength team selection.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 40 mins

    Chelsea 1-1 Man City

What did I say earlier about Willy Caballero? Having a great game I think it was...

He makes amends for any dodgy moments from earlier on as he denies Pedro at point-blank range.

We've got a real cup tie now. End-to-end.

"Manchester City passed that test quickly, how to react after a setback. They are back in this game. It is amazing to see how many teams are vulnerable after scoring."

    Danny Murphy
Ex-Liverpool midfielder on Match of the Day

"There are not many players in the Premier League that see things like Cesc Fabresgas, every pass is positive and creative. Eden hazard knows Diego Costa is in there, he puts it on an plate for him. They have been probing and deserve that. It was  goal of high quality. A such great passing and B such great movement."

Josh Wilde: Great awareness by Fabregas for Chelsea's opener but what a response by City!

What a response! Chelsea are still celebrating the opener as Manchester City slice through the defence. Manu Garcia clips a pass through for Kelechi Iheanacho, who gets to the byline before crossing across the face of goal and David Faupala stabs in from close range.

Wild celebrations from Manuel Pellegrini. Who says he isn't too bothered about winning this?

The opener, and it has been coming.

Fantastically orchestrated by Cesc Fabregas as he lifts a cute ball over the Manchester City defence for Eden Hazard, who hooks a cross to the middle of the area and masked crusader Diego Costa heads home unmarked.

    Chelsea 0-0 Man City

    Graeme Le Saux
Former Chelsea left-back on Match of the Day

"The first 10 minutes City did well and pressed Chelsea high up the field but the big change has been for Cesc Fabregas to move 30 yards further up the field and he has controlled the game. Chelsea are dominating the possession too."
