Chelsea's turn to attack now as John Mikel Obi sprays a pass out wide for Cesar Azpilicueta to chase. It is a good chance to build down the right if he can keep it in, but he just can't quite do that.

Chelsea's fans already getting stuck into their Manchester City counterparts for the vast spaces in the away support section - but might be explained by the fact manager Manuel Pellegrini effectively told their fans not to bother if they did not want to see a shadow side.

And that is that is what they have got.

    Chelsea 0-0 Man City

This game has that feel of a lower league side up against a Premier League opponent, with the City youngsters no doubt determined to show what they can do.

One of those youngsters, David Faupala, shows some neat skill to open up a bit of space on the right side of the box and stings Thibaut Courtois' hands with a well-struck effort.

    Good start by City.

He surely cannot afford to be shown up by a load of youngsters getting their first experience of first team football. Manu Garcia is the man tasked with keeping an eye on him.
