  3. RED CARD - Diego Costapublished at 84 mins

    Everton 2-0 Chelsea

This has been coming since about the fifth minute. Gareth Barry nibbles at the heels of Diego Costa, Costa reacts and squares up to Barry. Once, twice, three times a head-charge [not a head-butt] and he thinks about biting him you know! He bares his teeth but changes his mind.

The two then hug. Referee Michael Oliver books them both. So two yellows make a red - Diego Costa sent off for the first time in a Chelsea shirt.

    Romelu Lukaku

BOOM! Boom, shake shake the room. Romelu Lukaku books the appointment at the tailors, 44-inch chest please, I'll be needing a Wembley suit.

Ross Barkley plays a neat pass through, the Chelsea defence are asleep and Lukaku is just onside. He crashes past Thibaut Courtois, right-footed.

"Lukaku was like a man-mountain, unbelievable strength and to have the finish he does, incredible.

"Power, strength, pace. It is all of the qualities he has in one.

"You see what it means to Martinez as well, he paid the money, what would Chelsea do to have him now?"

Everton have the lead - and they have it in magnificent fashion as Romelu Lukaku rampaged past four Chelsea defenders to score.

Now - in this week when so many questions have been asked about Everton's fragility under pressure - can they hold on to reach Wembley?

Superb goal, that is why Everton paid the thick end of £30m for Romelu Lukaku. GAMECHANGER.

    And he's only 22...

    Romelu Lukaku

    What on Earth?!

A terrible game has been ignited by an absolutely superb FA Cup goal, a goal that deserves to take any side to Wembley. The ball is played up to Romelu Lukaku on the left wing, he jags inside Cesar Azpilicueta and Branislav Ivanovic, drives into the area, goes past Jon Mikel Obi, puts Gary Cahill on his backside and then fires low and hard into the far corner!

    Ricky Villa would be proud!

I'm not so sure that Kenedy will end as a left-back, but I can see him having a long career at the top level. He was very impressive against PSG and he's been one of the better players this evening. He plays a neat one-two and then takes the ball deep into enemy territory before the move breaks down.

No efforts on target in the second half so far. There were none at all in the second half at Carrow Road. Was it something I said?

Chelsea are establishing a measure of control here and there is anxiety among the Everton supporters.

Everton were really pressurising Chelsea in the first half but have gone off the boil a little.

You can't keep Diego Costa out of the game as he pops up at the back post to attack Willian's cross, but Seamus Coleman clears superbly and then sees Costa nut him right in the back of the nut.

Coleman is OK, and Cesc Fabregas is then booked for studding Gareth Barry on the knee.

    Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Chance of the game! Diego Costa is played through by a beauty from Cesc Fabregas, Joel Robles comes out to close him down but gets his angle wrong, Costa is able to go around him and then shoot, left-footed - the ball squirms right across the line and away. So, co close!
