As the song West Ham supporters have been singing all afternoon says, they have got Dimitri Payet and he may have put them on the way to the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Payet's free-kick was simply perfection. Technique, placement and arching away from United keeper David de Gea. Think we might be hearing even more of that song now.

As for Manchester United...what have they got?

I should address the fact that a few of you are raising - should Dimitri Payet have been sent-off just before he scored that gem of a free-kick?

He was on his way down - very easily - before a slight touch from Marcos Rojo for his unsuccessful penalty appeal in the 66th minute.

He could very easily have seen a second yellow. That won't be lost on Louis van Gaal and co.

"There are not an awful lot of options on the Manchester United bench if they want to change things.

"They have not had enough of a threat. Fellaini has to play further up the field. Herrera has been in and out, and is not bossing the midfield as he should be."

Just a brilliant, brilliant goal from Dimitri Payet. Is it enough to send the Hammers to Wembley? It will be unless the home side raise their game considerably. Michael Carrick is booked for a late lunge on halfway.

"What an incredible free-kick. He must be 40 yards out and has to beat the brilliant De Gea and he hits it in off the post. 

"But he shouldn't be on the pitch. He should've got a second yellow card and would've been sent off. That is the luck you need when you come to Old Trafford."

I have seen that appeal again and the ball did hit Winston Reid on the arm, but only after first hitting his thigh.

Reid is now replaced by Pedro Obiang, as Chiekhou Kouyate goes back to centre-half. 

Anthony Martial beats his man on the left and rolls it across the 18-yard line, good ball to pick out Ander Herrera. His touch is a bit heavy but he cracks in a shot which Winston Reid blocks - but with which part of his anatomy?

Manchester United, and their vocal fans, say hand. Referee Martin Atkinson disagrees.

Marcus Rashford then has an effort charged down. Much better from the hosts.
