    Broken Britain?

As Jordan points out, the status quo looks like being well and truly ripped up this season.

We could have Leicester as champions, West Ham and Tottenham joining them in the Champions League and Watford or Crystal Palace lifting the FA Cup.

    Champions?

    My question is this:

Is this a sign of things to come? Will the Premier League continue to be unpredictable as the swathes of TV money make every side in the top flight a magnet for good players?

Or is this a mad one-off, a season beset by poor signings, terrible form and very average football?

Do any of the 'Big teams' want to win anything in England this season? Leicester have been given the title by how poorly everyone else has been, City won't really proudly say they won the League Cup and it looks as if no one wants the FA Cup. United's best chance in years but I can't see them winning.

Yep, the charity shield could well be Watford v Leicester, or even Spurs v Watford in August.

English football has had its entire world shaken upside down this season. And I for one am loving it...

Adlene Guedioura smashes in a goal from the edge of the area to give Watford at 2-0 lead against Arsenal at the Emirates.

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

    Watford

Yep, Watford have booked their place in the last four thanks to a superb win at the Emirates.

Adlene Guedioura ripped the net out with a smashing drive from the edge of the area.

Where now for Arsene Wenger? Follow reaction from that game here.

  6. Into the last four...published at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2016

Man Utd v West Ham (16:00 GMT)

Could an FA Cup win save Louis van Gaal's job at Manchester United? The Europa League remains a possibility - a rather distant one perhaps after a horrorshow of a first leg against Liverpool - and finishing in the top four looks a tough ask too.

But, win today and LVG will fancy his chances, won't he?

    The other three semi-finalists are:

    Everton

    Crystal Palace

    and Watford...

Paris St-Germain were crowned French champions with eight (EIGHT) games left as Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored four in a 9-0 (NINE) demolition of bottom side Troyes.

PSG clinched the title with two months of the season left. That's winning in style...

Steve Wilson: "It wasn't just losing, it was the manner of their defeat at Liverpool which would have stung the travelling Manchester United fans, which included Gary Pallister, Andy Cole and Denis Irwin., external Who knows what Sir Alex made of it from the posh seats?

"United could yet progress past Liverpool, they could yet finish in the top four, but the feeling that neither is likely makes this cup tie against West Ham all the more important.

"The Hammers couldn't be happier. They have won their last four games, and made ridiculous the notion that staying in the Premier League was their season-goal before moving to Stratford with a thrilling combination of adventure and skill."

Man Utd v West Ham (16:00 GMT)

Manchester United opt for just the three changes from their abject showing at Anfield - shambolic, as Paul Scholes put it.

Michael Carrick comes in, I presume in midfield and not as an auxiliary centre-half, and Jesse Lingard and Ander Herrera also get a game.

Man Utd: De Gea, Varela, Smalling, Blind, Rojo, Carrick, Fellaini, Rashford, Herrera, Lingard, Martial

West Ham have not won the FA Cup since 1980.

'Geno' by Dexy's Midnight Runners was number one, Sir Trevor Brooking was scoring the winner, The Empire Strikes Back was 10 days away from release and Nottingham Forest were a fortnight away from retaining the European Cup.

What a time to be alive.

Manchester United have, perhaps surprisingly, not won the trophy since 2004. Not a single member of their current squad has won the Cup in a United shirt.

The 2004 final was particularly forgettable too, a routine win over Millwall. The music was terrible, unprintable in fact, and the only Star Wars film close to a release date was so bad it makes me shudder to even think about it.

So points to West Ham for nostalgia then. Both sides are well overdue a win at Wembley - but is this the year that the Hammers go all the way?

Nine thousand fans have travelled to Old Trafford on a magnificent early spring afternoon. Belief is in the air. Can Slaven Bilic do it again?
