    West Brom 0-2 West Ham

It looks like a Picasso painting, but is in fact a replay (of sorts) of West Ham's second goal.

Admittedly, it's a difficult one to work out, much like Picasso's paintings, but broadly speaking it involves Angelo Ogbonna (No21) finding Dimitri Payet (No 27) on the left, whose precise pass finds the surging Cheikhou Kouyate. The midfielder is ably supported by Mark Noble (No 16) who sweeps home. Got it?

"This is an enormous 45 minutes for Sunderland and Newcastle.

"Newcastle have to win today to stay up - a draw isn't good enough. At some stage they are going to have to go for broke."

    Watford 1-1 Aston Villa

Who says you need to attack to score? Aston Villa's players' average positions in this half (below graphic) suggests they are under the impression they will be charged rent for visiting Watford's half.

Jordan Ayew (No 19) is the only visiting player who has been playing in opposition territory, the rest of his team-mates have held back.

"Alan Pardew has come here with a game plan, he has five across the middle and has tried to control the game and slow it down. Palace are trying to isolate Vurnon Anita on the left with Yannick Bolasie, but Bolasie has not managed to pick the right cross. Newcastle have come into the game in the last 15 minutes, but Palace look more competent.

"Newcastle still look edgy and you can feel it in their fans."

Everton today and this season: Awful. No purpose. No direction. No drive. Why do we bother?

Chants from the stand? No. A less-than-complimentary Twitter hashtag? No. A modern-day manager really knows their time could be coming to an end when fans splash out on some aerial advertising. The dreaded plane with a banner chugs over Goodison Park...

  10. League One updatepublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 30 April 2016

A huge goal for Burton. It has come from Lucas Akins, who scored a hat-trick at Colchester last week, to give the promotion-contenders a 1-0 lead over Gillingham.

If it stays like this, Nigel Clough's side will be promoted if Walsall fail to beat Fleetwood on Monday.

Barnsley currently hold the last final play-off place, but that is under threat as they are trailing 1-0 at home to already-down Colchester, after George Moncur's goal.

But no such problems for Millwall as they now lead 2-0 against Oldham, a scoreline that would guarantee the Lions' play-off spot.

    Almen Abdi (45+1 mins)

Textbook. Watford equalise as Almen Abdi expertly curls a wonderful 22-yard free-kick into the bottom corner. Pace, precision and, er, bend (that ruins our dreams of an alliterative description) from the Switzerland midfielder.

    Mark Noble (45 mins)

Sometimes a terrible touch can pay off! West Ham midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate motors down the left, great athleticism, and he cuts it back for Mark Noble breaking into the box.

His touch is horrific, a six-yard touch, but it ends up turning into a good pass for himself and the midfielder can stretch and toe-bung a shot into the corner from 12 yards.

    West Ham for Europe?

    Watford 0-1 Aston Villa

Aston Villa's sorry mob have created many unwanted records this season - but they're determined not to finish the season with another.

Defeat today would equal a club-record 11th successive reverse. But they nearly had a 2-0 lead! Jordan Ayew stooped low to meet Aly Cissokho's first-time cross from the left with a powerful header, beating Watford keeper Heurelho Gomes. It didn't beat the left-hand upright, however.

    Jack Colback reactsImage source, Reuters

I can't decide if Karl Darlow is brilliant or erratic, or a bit of both! The Newcastle keeper moves well to push out a cracking hit from Yannick Bolasie and then scrambles around his six-yard box to juggle and fumble a cross away.

At the other end Jack Colback fires wide!
