Thirty seconds into the second half and Blackburn are 1-0 ahead against Sheffield Wednesday thanks to Craig Conway's opener. 

Brighton are 2-1 up against Birmingham, heaping more pressure on leaders Burnley who are drawing 0-0 against Cardiff. As it stands, just two points separate Burnley, Middlesbrough and Brighton at the top of the Championship.

Bolton can't quite be relegated this evening, but the Championship's bottom side are hurtling towards League One at some speed. They're 3-0 down at Brentford and it's not looking good for the Trotters. 

At the other end of the table, leaders Burnley have had a couple of chances but it's 0-0 at half-time between them and Cardiff. 

Middlesbrough fans will be happy with what's happening at Turf Moor. As it stands, Boro - who are leading Huddersfield 2-0 - are just a point adrift of the Championship leaders.

There's a lot of you questioning that red card. Let me assure you - that was a definite red card! A stupid challenge from Fernando Torres. A second yellow every day of the week. Even a Tuesday!

And that's the danger for Bayern, totally dominant but right on half time a sniff for Benfica as Nicolas Gaitan smashes in a shot which is brilliantly blocked by Arturo Vidal.

Pep Guardiola will be thinking that his side should be at least 2-0 up, they have utterly dominated Benfica. You'd want at least a few more ahead of the second leg. 

I'm all for Diego Simeone's passion and theatrics on the touchline but he cannot defend Fernando Torres tonight. What a stupid tackle and he may have ruined the game and his side's chances of progressing. They have a long time to hang on with 10 men now. Barca need to lift it big style though.
