    Borussia Dortmund 0-1 Liverpool

Suddenly, Liverpool are full of confidence. Nathaniel Clyne charges forward and breaks into the box but after being found by a flick from Adam Lallana his shot is blocked before James Milner's follow-up suffers a similar fate. Amazing what a goal can do.

"They got caught at the back. Bender could not keep up with Origi and he does brilliantly, with his pace and power."

Huge moment! Liverpool strike against the run of play. Jordan Henderson's forward ball is not the best but Divock Origi makes the very most of it by controlling, taking a touch into the box and firing a low shot across Roman Weidenfeller and in. A crucial away goal. Jurgen Klopp punches the air in delight.

    Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool simply cannot keep hold of the ball. Their inability to do so is allowing the home side to nick possession and exploit space. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - not a man you want to encourage to shoot - is given a chance to do just that but his curling effort is saved.

    Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Liverpool

Dortmund come again through Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is able to drive forward into the Liverpool half as the visiting defence backs off. His shot is low but wide of the post. Worrying moments for the Reds.

Liverpool need to cut out the mistakes, though. Lovren gifts the ball to Aubameyang, who drives into the box but fails to find Marco Reus in the box as Sakho rallies to block.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's first real involvement in the game sees him strike a free-kick that deflects past the post. James Milner is well-placed to clear the resulting corner.

Klopp will be very happy with this. Dortmund have had the best chances, but they are few and far between.

There's more pressing than a cider factory. Both teams are putting a shift in to try and get the upper hand. Divock Origi shows strength to win his side a corner, which Weidenfeller punches clear and Alberto Moreno fires back but well over the bar.

Alex Johnson: Sakho baffles me. One moment you think he's world class, another moment he looks like he belongs in the Championship.

Wesley: Sakho reminds me of a mix between bambi and dumbo, but it somehow works.

Nathaniel Clyne charges into Dortmund territory and is fouled by Marco Reus. It gives Liverpool a potentially threatening free-kick.

It is indeed threatening as James Milner's delivery finds the unmarked Dejan Lovren, but he can only head the ball straight into the ground, making it is easy for Roman Weidenfeller to block and then gather. The keeper takes a whack, which spills a bit of claret, but he is OK to continue.

    Lovren should have scored, though.

What a good block from Mamadou Sakho.

A patient period of play from the home side comes to a conclusion with a quick move that opens the away defence up. Julian Wiegl finds Marcel Schmelzer wide left and his low cross looks to have set up Henrikh Mkhitaryan for a certain goal until Sakho dives in to block the shot.

Danger for Liverpool. Dortmund have a free-kick wide right in the Liverpool half.

Gonzalo Castro's delivery is poor but James Milner cannot clear properly, allowing Marco Reus to flash a shot across goal and wide.

Liverpool are pressing well, illustrated by James Milner charging down Lukas Piszczek in his own half.

Soon after, Dortmund break quick and look to get the ball ion the box for three onrushing forwards but the pass is just a little heavy and allows the Reds to clear.
