Henrikh Mkhitaryan is already showing signs of the threat he poses. He looks to turn near the edge of the Liverpool box but is tackled well by Dejan Lovren.

Former Liverpool defender in Dortmund
"Gonzalo Castro just got himself in between the two lines of Liverpool's midfield and back four. It was slightly dangerous for Liverpool but they dealt with it in the end."
Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Liverpool
I think we are already seeing the way the game is going to go. Dortmund in possession, probing, waiting for a moment to strike and Liverpool camped in their half, containing and hoping to counter when they can.
Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Liverpool
The home side begin with a patient period of possession before Liverpool snatch the ball and send it quickly forward for Divock Origi. Philippe Coutinho's pass is a bit heavy, though, and out comes Roman Weidenfeller to hammer clear.

James Conroy: Dortmund are this loud every week and fill the 'yellow wall' about 90 minutes before kick off - incredible and the bar for all
There are a group of photographers camped in front of the dug-outs happily snapping away at Jurgen Klopp, who looks so relaxed he may as well be stood on the touchline down the local park. No big deal, this.
Here come the teams. It's a bit noisy.

"That was a wow moment, even for a cynical old professional. The last time I heard anything like that was when Liverpool played Celtic a few years ago. I bet they could hear that in the dressing room. That was noisy."

"The simplest thing is to have the ball down the other end. That always helps.
"The thing about him is that he has a role in the team. He is not just a goal scorer and they let him do what he wants. Thierry Henry was at his best when he was on his own and he is very much that kind of player. One Liverpool centre-back has to be very, very tight and the other has to be a supreme pessimist and anticipate a mistake.
"The task for Liverpool over these two games is enormous."

There is a full rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone currently swirling round the BVB Stadion courtesy of two sets of fans holding aloft scarves. It is quite a sight. There is still no excuse for half and half scarves, though.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says the Reds' Europa League visit to his former club Borussia Dortmund underlines why people love sport, explaining: "We always played against our best friends and we always wanted to beat them."

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to BT Sport: "It is not the first time I have come here as opposite manager because I came with Mainz. I only had to remind myself when I came in right, instead of left for the dressing room.
"All the stories around, maybe the media created it a little bit but not a Dortmund player or manager or Liverpool player or manager. For the team it is not a big difference, the team only has to think about what it has to do in the game. Dortmund are pretty good, that's the truth but they are beatable. The most difficult thing is they are full, full, full of confidence.
"Divock Origi is completely rested. It makes sense tonight starting with Divock and then having Daniel and Roberto on the bench."

Ominous stat warning: Dortmund have scored three or more goals in 22 of Tuchel's 46 games in charge. I'll allow all you Liverpool fans a huge cartoonish gulp.

Former Germany midfielder Karl Heinz-Riedle, who played for both Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, is expecting Jurgen Klopp to get a rousing reception from the home fans tonight.
"It will be very emotional," he told BBC Radio 5 live. "The Dortmund fans will welcome him with a really warm welcome because he did so much for the club in the last seven years and they won't forget this.
"I expect a very tight game because Liverpool, especially against the really good teams, have performed very well, but at the end of the day I expect Dortmund will win. I think for sure they will score one or two goals."
