Nosebleed territory for Atletico Madrid, they've just ventured beyond the halfway line for the first time in this half. Its Juanfran who gets to make that rare excursion and he seems a little unsure what to do as he swiftly runs into trouble and Bayern pick up the ball again.

Someone fire up the heaters and light the barbecue - Bayern are setting up camp inside the Atletico half. Just look at these statistics! The German visitors have totally dominated possession and territory in the past 10 minutes.

Diego Simeone looks like he is trying to fly. He is flapping his arms up and down faster than a hummingbird flaps its wings, seemingly urging his players to push up. If he is, his players are not responding. 

The home fans' enthusiasm from the first half seems to have given way to a bit of a nervy atmosphere. They can sense the tide is turning in Bayern's favour at the moment.

Kinglsey Coman breaks through to the two lines of Atletico's defence but his cross flies over the danger zone. 

Everyone bar Fernando Torres is back in or just on the edge of the Atletico box.

Look how far out that David Alaba shot was! Nearer to 35 yards, according to our graphic. The Bayern centre-back (27) was heavily involved in that patient away build-up before lashing one against the bar.

Good cross on the turn by Arturo Vidal almost finds Robert Lewandowski but the striker is beaten in the air and Atletico clear.

Bayern are knocking on that door at the moment, how long can Atletico keep them out?

Corner to Bayern and defender Javi Martinez jogs into the area. The ball is whipped in at pace and Martinez meets it with his head but directs it straight at Jan Oblak. 

A bit better from Bayern at the moment.

The Atletico fans' singing is momentarily halted as David Alaba flashes a bullet of a shot from 30 yards that smacks against the underside of the bar.

Even on the slow motion replay it is fast. Where did that come from!?

Bayern try again to get behind the Atletico defence as Douglas Costa whips a cross in, but it is too close to Jan Oblak in the Atletico goal. Robert Lewandowski then gives Costa a right stare. He isn't happy with that cross at all.

How do you stop one of Europe's most feared strikers? Don't let him have a touch in your penalty area, that's how. Pretty simple really. And it is exactly what Atletico Madrid have managed to do with Bayern's Robert Lewandowski so far.
