    Man Utd 1-0 Everton.

United have conceded just seven goals in their last 15 Premier League games at Old Trafford.

Their remaining four games at home are against Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Leicester and Bournemouth and you can see them picking up at least three wins from those matches.

The chase for the fourth Champions League spot is well and truly on. Will Pep Guardiola be managing in Europe's elite club competition next season, or will Louis van Gaal consign him to the Europa League?

Anthony Martial's winner means he is now Manchester United’s top scorer in the Premier League this season, with eight goals, one more than Wayne Rooney.

What a signing he has been for the Red Devils. Not many saying he's a waste of money anymore.

Everton remain in 12th place in the Premier League after their 10th defeat of the season and that means they have suffered 200 losses away from home in the Premier League.

Roberto Martinez badly needs an FA Cup victory at the end of the season.

  5. We want to entertainpublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 3 April 2016

    Man Utd 1-0 Everton

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was more or less a stolen victory. We didn't play so well, it looked like we were not fresh. You never know how the players will come back from the international break. We were today the lucky team.

"They played a little bit different than we expected. We want to give entertainment for the fans, but the fans were entertained today because of the tension. If we lose today, the victory against Manchester City is worthless. Now we are still in the race. We have a very important game against Tottenham.

"I said before the game we have to give a victory to Sir Bobby Charlton. He was very pleased in the dressing room.

"Daley Blind has played every match this season and he is at the end of his strengths. I shall give him two days off."

  7. 1-0 was enoughpublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 3 April 2016

    Man Utd 1-0 Everton

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata: "It is a very important win after Manchester City's result yesterday, it was important to get the three points.

"It was very tight, Everton play very good football and have quality players and it is difficult to beat them. We started well in the second half and that was the difference. After the goal it was easier to play because they are more open. 1-0 was enough.

"Chris Smalling and Daley Blind have played well together in the whole season and we are very happy with our defenders.

"We are happy the manager is using youngster because it is the philosophy of the club and there are many youngsters coming through the academy."

  8. 'We shouldn't have lost'published at 18:10 British Summer Time 3 April 2016

    Man Utd 1-0 Everton

Everton manager Roberto Martinez speaking to BBC Sport: "There were two games within a game. Up until the goal, we were the team with a better tempo and we always looked a threat.

"The goal was a very soft action, it's not up to our standards. The performances were very, very level and we shouldn't have lost the game. It's that sort of game that came down to small margins - the ball hitting the crossbar is the difference between us getting something out of the game.

"We are a young group with great potential, but our home form hasn't been anywhere near good enough."

    Man Utd 1-0 Everton

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata: "We wanted to win but we wanted to win in our way of playing, creating chances, and today it was very good. They have quality players and we knew it was going to be tough, but we showed character. We had to win and we did."

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling: "The first half we controlled it, but the second half we know there is so much to play for and it did get a bit scrappy. We know that we have to win our games because we can't be relying on other teams to slip up. The whole stadium was electric for Sir Bobby, and well deserved."
