Mark Noble is a diminutive chap but he produces an impressive display of strength as he picks up Ander Herrera, who was slowly hobbling towards the touchline after injuring his foot, and carries him over.

Time running out for West Ham, Noble knows it.

Stephen Cummins: This is what happens when we play players in their best positions, brilliant stuff.

Ashic Mahtab: Two goals... One of impossible talent, one off an ugly knee. They all count.

Seth Gogo Egoeh: Wasn't Slaven so confident of West Ham progressing to the semis after the first leg against Man. United? Arrogance and pride!

Plenty of singing in the stands, but it is coming from the away end. Manchester United are striding into the semi-finals here. West Ham look disjointed and unable to get a foot on this game.

Credit where credit is due for Louis van Gaal. Whenever you think he is down and out, he finds a way to respond.

"It hit Fellaini in the midriff area and rebounded in from two or three yards out.

"West Ham came from 2-0 down at the weekend and they are going to need something just as spectacular to get back into this. It just hasn't happened for them."

"There can be no complaints by West Ham. The ball is whipped in and Fellaini doesn't switch off, he's looking for it to come back across goal and he does well, I think it comes off his knee."

A second for Manchester United and it is the player some love to hate who bags it.

Marouane Fellaini both made and scored the goal as he chested down Daley Blind's cross for Jesse Lingard, who played the ball across to Anthony Martial. The forward's shot is wayward but Fellaini reacts instinctively to poke home from close range.

West Ham fans have been getting increasingly impatient and anxious here as Manchester United make their control count.

There has been a sense around The Boleyn Ground all season that West Ham's name is on the FA Cup in their last season here - not at the moment it isn't.

"Run at their defence" is what I imagine were the words Slaven Bilic whispered into Victor Moses' ear before he sent him on.

He picks up the ball midway inside the Manchester United half and immediately charges at a retreating defence, but whacks his shot straight into a white shirt.

Andrew Priestley: Forget the calls for Andy Carroll to go to the Euros, there's your wildcard choice, Marcus Rashford.

Dan Wilcox: Commentators asking if Roy Hodgson should take Rashford to the Euros. Absolutely not, he's far too young, so much to learn yet.

Josh Hammond: I don't like Van Gaal, but even i will say that his policy of giving youth a chance is excellent (and is paying off at times).

The dragon has woken from its slumber. West Ham had looked ponderous after a strong start but they are alive and kicking now as Antonia wriggles past his marker on the right and he is away. Andy Carroll charges into the box but Antonio dithers long enough for Manchester United to regroup and the chance is gone.
