"Celtic's 18-year-old full-back Kieran Tierney and the Hibernian midfielder John McGinn are expected to start for Scotland in tonight's friendly against Denmark. The pair will make their full international debuts as Gordon Strachan seeks greater depth to his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifying campaign.

"Tierney's Celtic team-mate Leigh Griffiths should start up front, with Steven Fletcher likely to play behind him. Matt Ritchie and Shaun Maloney will play wide, with Scott Brown winning his 50th cap alongside McGinn in central midfield. Craig Gordon plays in goal, with Steven Whittaker, Gordon Greer and Grant Hanley making up the rest of the defence."

"He's not only been a good footballer, but he's been a good help to young players now," says the Scotland manager of his captain.

Scott Brown will earn his 50th cap should he make an appearance against Denmark tonight at Hampden.

His boss Gordon Strachan added: "He is a leader..."

"It feels like I'm getting old," added Brown. "I was told that Kieran [Tierney] was eight-years-old when I had my first international cap."

Father Time catches up with everyone, Scott.
