West Ham manager Slaven Bilic says Swansea "totally deserved" their win in the penultimate game at the Boleyn Ground. You can't say anything else when you've been thumped, can you?!

"I'm not that disappointed with our play with the ball, but without the ball we had too many passengers, relying on someone else to get the ball and play it to me in a good position. If you approach a game like that it makes it very difficult," says the Croatian, whose side remain sixth.

"I don't think the occasion can be an excuse - if anything it should motivate you to be more disciplined. We were ill-disciplined.

"We basically let Swansea get in good, dangerous positions without needing to play great football."

The Premier League? Pah. League Two has been where the real drama has been today.

Two automatic promotion spots left to fill on the final day, three teams in the mix.

Fourth-placed Bristol Rovers started two points behind Accrington, but nabbed the final promotion spot to League One with an injury-time winner from Lee Brown.

Second-placed Oxford eased up with a 3-0 win against Wycombe, meaning Accrington must regroup for the play-offs after being held to a goalless draw against Stevenage.

Mark Noble, West Ham captainImage source, PA

Mark Noble, the West Ham captain, has been speaking to the media: "We stared so well and had three or four early chances. With a little more luck we could have taken the lead. But we were caught on the counter-attack a couple of times and it was a struggle from there. Swansea finished their chances really well.

"A bad day at the office, that's what it was. It can happen in this league. Tuesday will be a special night and we will try to enjoy ourselves."

  9. 'Guidolin has done brilliantly'published at 17:59 British Summer Time 7 May 2016

    West Ham 1-4 Swansea

Swansea midfielder Jack Cork: "I think the last two games have proved that we want to finish as high as we can. We were under the cosh in the first 15 minutes. Francesco Guidolin has done brilliantly since he came in - all credit to him and his staff. We've completely changed it around and people won't be looking at us and saying we've had a bad season."

It's not a surprise because we have a good group and many good players. I am happy for them, because today all day they played a good match. I am happy - congratulations to my players.

"Our season is not finished and my team is not on the beach. We showed this in recent weeks against both Liverpool and now West Ham, and I hope also next against Manchester City."

    Guus HiddinkImage source, Reuters

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink, speaking to BBC Sport: “It was a very intense game. For Sunderland it was a must-win game, for us it was a would-like-to-win game.

"In the first half we played rather well and could have scored at least one more. The Sunderland crowd was unconditional for their team, I think the team got very encouraged with this help.

"In the second half we have at least one or two open chances with Diego Costa. They got a lot of energy they produced the win. John Terry was a double yellow, I think it was a little bit over the top the decision.”

A few years ago everyone laughed at Big Sam for saying he'd win the title every year at a club like Madrid or Inter. Well it's clear to me that he's a much better manager than Rafa who failed miserably at both those clubs, and is failing to keep Newcastle up this season. You'd run through a brick wall if Allardyce told you to and it's about time he got a chance at a big club.

    Sunderland 3-2 Chelsea

    Sam AllardyceImage source, Reuters

Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce: “An extraordinary and nerve-wracking afternoon. Everything we experienced in our emotions we felt from the start going a goal down.

"That little bit change of tactics, by pushing Fabio Borini in the middle behind Jermain Defoe, has obviously paid off. It’s a wonderful comeback and wonderful for us. We’re the favourites now, Newcastle have been favourites all this week.

"Our destiny is in our hands and a win against Everton will secure our Premier League future. It will be difficult but we have an opportunity to achieve it, let’s hope we can.

"Since the turn of the year we’ve been so near yet so far from so many victories, but today, for a change, we’ve come from being behind twice and come back to win the game and it shows the character of the players."
