    Norwich 0-1 Man Utd

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal tells BT Sport: “We are still in business, that is what I told the players. The players were very tired at the end but we won.

“We keep the pressure on our competitors and hope we can achieve a Champions League place. We want to play at the highest level but it is still tough. We have to play West Ham away now.

“You cannot regret your decisions. You have seen players today who also need a rest, I cannot give everyone a rest.

“When a players says he feels something, you cannot take a risk. We will see how Anthony Martial and Matteo Darmian are tomorrow.

“I am indeed a Gunners fan tomorrow. After losing to Real Madrid, it is not easy for Manchester City to revive.”

    Aston Villa 0-0 Newcastle

Villa keeper Mark Bunn is already a busy man. Not because Newcastle are pumping efforts at his goal though. Because he is booting loads of inflatable beach balls - thrown in from the Holte End - off the pitch. No decent chances for either side yet.

Yohan Cabaye goes close for Palace with a deflected free-kick that loops just past the post. Only a yard or two in it.

As if we needed any further confirmation, I can tell you that Sunderland midfielder Wahbi Khazri does not bend it like Beckham. Straight into the Chelsea wall from the Tunisian. Electric atmosphere at the Stadium of Light.

    West Ham 0-0 Swansea

Early effort from Hammers player of the season Dimitri Payet as his curling shot is put behind by Swans keeper Lukasz Fabianski. The resulting corner is met by the head of Winston Reid, but gathered by the away keeper.

Early chance for Sunderland? Possibly. Jermain Defoe is hauled down by Gary Cahill on the edge of the Chelsea box. Free-kick about 25 yards out. Where's David Beckham when Sunderland need him?

Big rendition of I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles at the Boleyn Ground. This is the final Saturday game the Hammers will play here before they shift to the Olympic Stadium. The home fans want to give the old place a proper send off.

Bearing in mind all the angst at the Valley this season, this breaking news from the Championship has got to rank up there with the most unfortunate of typos...

West Ham v Swansea (15:00 BST)

"Hi Franny, it's Chris. Yeah, yeah, I know Ash is one of your best players. But I need him more. Rest them. I'll take you out for margherita pizza. Nice one.

That may or may not have been the convo between Swansea head coach Francesco Guidolin and Wales boss Chris Coleman which has led to Swans skipper Ashley Williams being rested ahead of Euro 2016. Guidolin couches it slightly differently...

"West Ham are a very good team and they have had a good season. But I am confident that we have a good group, it is not only 11 players," says the Italian.

"I have the chance to see some players who don't play much and this is important for the future of our club and our players."

"Commentating at the Boleyn Ground for the final time will be an emotional moment for me given that I have been going there for over 40 years since I started with Match of the Day in 1971.

"It's also the last Saturday home game for the West Ham fans and they'll want a win to move them to within two points of fourth-placed Manchester City and keep their Champions League qualification hopes alive.

"When these sides drew in December, Swansea were struggling. They are now mathematically safe and I think Alan Curtis deserves plenty of the praise for that achievement, not least for leading them to a crucial win at Arsenal when Francesco Guidolin was absent."

Bournemouth v West Brom (15:00 BST)

Last home game of the season for Bournemouth today.

The 23-year-old Mings was carried off six minutes into his Premier League debut against Leicester City last August after tearing anterior and medial ligaments.

Here's hoping his 2016/17 campaign is a much better experience.

Bournemouth v West Brom (15:00 BST)

    John Roder
    Match of the Day commentator

"In the dim and distant past I used to regularly commentate on Bournemouth matches for regional television. The chances of Bournemouth ever playing in the Premier League seemed about as likely as Manchester United being in League Two.

"Fast forward to 2016 and this will be the final home match of the most successful season in the Cherries' history. A swift return to the Championship - predicted by many - hasn't materialised.

"It is perhaps fitting that West Bromwich Albion are the visitors for what is sure to be quite a celebration.

"As a former Bournemouth player and manager, Tony Pulis will be given a warm reception, but the Baggies boss will be desperate to end his team's run of poor form while extending Bournemouth's recent dip."

Manchester United match-winner Juan Mata tells BT Sport: “We needed to win and have to win our three games then see what Manchester City and Arsenal do. We controlled the game and had more chances to score goals.

“Today was about winning. We want to play and created chances but we won the game.

“We do everything for the fans. They have had a difficult season but deserve happiness.”

Richard: That was awful from Manchester United. Terrible. Dreadful. But we had to win and we did. Over to City and West Ham now.

David Bridges: As the old saying goes the League never lies well done United.

S.o.M: Say what you like about the performance, but United did enough to get three points in a potentially tricky tie.Pressure on City now.

Crystal Palace v Stoke (15:00 BST)

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes: "It is a difficult one for Crystal Palace, I am sure their focus will be looking ahead to the cup final but I think I am right in saying it is their last home game before the end of the season so that will always put an edge to your game.

"Their performance today will be for the supporters. Not all of them will be able to go to the cup final so they will want to be able to put in a good performance, so we have to be ready for that."

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew: "It's not easy to keep minds off the cup (final) because for our level it's a unique position for a lot of the players.

"Some of us who have been here before know how to treat it, but for others it's difficult.

"The focus has definitely slipped in the league and you can't argue with that. I've got to put a team out that's focused to win, and that's important."

Crystal Palace v Stoke (15:00 BST)

    Alistair Mann
    Match of the Day commentator

"When Crystal Palace won at the Britannia Stadium in December, nobody would have predicted their subsequent astonishing collapse in form.

"That victory took them sixth, level on points with fourth-placed Spurs, yet just one win in their next 19 means they've reached the penultimate match of the campaign still not mathematically safe.

"With the FA Cup final two weeks away, this would be a timely moment to make certain of their status.

"Stoke have been in abject recent form themselves and with their outside target of European qualification long since beyond them, Palace will surely feel they can record a third win of the season against them."

    Sunderland v Chelsea (15:00 BST)

    Simon Brotherton
    Match of the Day commentator

"Sunderland slipped into the bottom three last weekend despite a late equaliser at Stoke, but they do have a game in hand over Newcastle who went above them.

"Their destiny is still in their own hands, though the margin for error is small and they haven't beaten Chelsea at home in the league for 16 years.

"Scoring goals continues to be a problem, despite the best efforts of Jermain Defoe.

"Sunderland haven't scored in their last three home games and that will likely need to change if they're to get anything against opponents who'll be in good spirits after Monday's comeback against Spurs."
