"Crystal Palace are looking really sharp. Watford need to be more direct and get it into their front two a lot earlier."

The half started brightly but stuttered to a finish. Palace deservedly lead through Bolasie's header. They've been by far the better side. I can't see how Watford can be as bad in the second half.

Watford have offered nothing this half. Deeney and Ighalo haven't even had scraps chucked their way. Credit to the Palace defence for that but the Hornets have to offer something else in the second half.

Four minutes of added time. Palace still pushing but the assistant's flag is up for offside against Damien Delaney to end an attack.

Can Palace add to their lead before the break? They think they might have a penalty as a cross from the right strikes Nathan Ake's hand. No intent to handball but I have seen those given.

It is all a bit flat now. The injury didn't help. That will suit Palace, though. They can cruise to a half-time lead.

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Watford

Damien Delaney is down now. He heads away a powerful Jose Jurado shot from 35 yards that sends him spinning to the floor like a Van Damme roundhouse. Thankfully, after a few moments to compose himself, he is able to continue.

Soon after, the same two players come together and Jurado is shown a yellow card for tripping Delaney.

"I can't help thinking that all these stoppages are helping cement Palace's place in the final. We need to see a reaction from Watford before half-time. We're not seeing much of Troy Deeney. He is surviving on scraps."

Chance for Watford. Troy Deeney's first-time ball is designed to try and find Odion Ighalo, who is rushing in to the box, but a combination of the last Palace defender and keeper Wayne Hennessey prevent the forward reaching the ball.

"It looks serious. It was an accident. They run into each other and Capoue has rocked that left knee. He is a very good player for them."

Capoue's afternoon is over. He tried to continue but he is unable, dropping to the turf and calling to be replaced. That's a blow for Watford. He has been an important member of the Hornets midfield this season. It is gutting for Capoue as well. You don't get many chances to play at Wembley. He leaves the pitch on a stretcher, hands over his face.

Now Palace have a free-kick thanks to Nyom's foul on the left side of the box. Cabaye curls it over the wall and towards the near post but Costel Pantilimon is clued up to his intent and moves to his left to gather.

Palace remain a threat. After a corner is half-cleared by Watford, Yohan Cabaye picks up possession and curls a shot that would have found the far corner of the net but for Costel Pantilimon's diving save.

"Palace have played to their strengths, they've been positive from the start. Watford are improving though. Troy Deeney has popped up in decent positions once or twice but that last effort was hurried. He had time to take a touch to get set."

This is better from Watford. They sweep forward at pace and work the ball to Almen Abdi on the edge of the box but his low shot is blocked. Seconds later, they almost level as Scott Dann ducks under Nyom's cross before the ball deflects just past the post off the legs of the unsuspecting Damien Delaney.
