Charles Davis: Diego Simeone is the new Mourinho. Pragmatic tactician. Watch everyone call him boring once he comes to Premier League though.

Ayo Obit: Atletico Madrid are gonna win the Champions League now. Can't see Real Madrid or City having the 'fight' to live with them for 90mins!

Marvic Cordina: Simeone's men eliminated both Barcelona and Bayern Munich. They deserve this cup.

Bayern Munich will wonder what more they could have done.

They had 72% possession during the game, they had 33 shots on goal and forced Jan Oblak into nine saves. That missed penalty from Thomas Muller was key - though Atletico also missed one.

"It's unbelievably frantic now here in Munich. "Both sides have missed penalties. At the moment Atletico are going through, but one goal for Bayern would turn it all in their favour. "I'd sum up the bedlam by the image of Pep Guardiola running onto the pitch to retrieve a stray ball. The refereee allowed play to continue despite two balls being on the pitch with the game active. "Diego Simeone came onto the pitch himself in protest, and performed an Argentinean version of Riverdance."
